| I cried like a baby.... Has anyone seen Marley and Me? I know its not about a Yorkie but my boyfriend and I watched that movie last night. We laughed so hard at some parts because we can relate, a puppy is a puppy regardless of the size. It made me laugh because I think at some point everyone thinks they have the worst dog in the world, and they are never going to listen to you. You love them anyways, its your dog and hes your family! I wouldn't trade Gretzky in for anything in the world, no matter how many times he eats my underwear, chews my favorite shoes, or pee's on the carpet. If you've seen the movie you know, at the end, oh my, we cried like babies. I literally just held Gretzky in my arms and lost it! We just got him 2 months ago and we have no children yet, and it was like a flash forward of our life. On the upside it did give us a lot to look forward to. That said though, that was a great movie, that any dog lover would love!

| I read the book and laughed and bawled all the way through it. I have the DVD but have yet to watch it. Marley was blessed with wonderful, caring, patient and under- standing owner's for sure. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I cried like a baby too because less than a year ago I had to put our furbaby to sleep. If I'd known about that part of the movie I NEVER would have watched it.

| Yes, we saw it recently. I am SO glad I didn't see that at the theatre. I would have come out of there looking like a wreck! I did know what it was about and I thought I could handle it. I had to put down our 16 year old toy poodle about 5 years ago and I still tear up when I talk about him. Funny thing is.... my kids saw it at the theatre without me. When I brought it home on DVD, they sat and watched it for a while and then got up to go do something else. I knew why they did that but still thought I could handle watching it. Man, that was rough. Anyone that has ever lost a pet would have a good cry at the end, I'm sure!

I was bawling the last 20 minutes of the movie. OMG i have never cried so much from a movie. i told my sister to watch it and that i cried. she made fun of me so i just said wait till you see it. She was hysterical too. LOL such a good movie.

| It is a great movie I actually liked the book a TON more though. You should look into reading the book, it is GREAT -- I felt like the movie left out a lot of detail.

| I saw the movie at a theater shortly after I PTS my two. *Spoiler* I did the exact thing he did in the vets office. I touched every toenail, smelled them deeply, etc...Needless to say, I could barely breathe when that scene was going on.. It was certainly not the right time for me to see it. I would suggest anyone recently going through that refrain from seeing Marley.

i was disappointed after seeing the movie. the book was A LOT better. so i still highly recommend people to read the book. i read it 3 times, and it's still on my night stand because i like to re-read it. the movie is better if you didn't read the book first though. if anyone watched the movie first then read the book, please let me know what you thought. i am interested to know.

| Aww, that movie made me weep like a baby. I was seriously, weeping. Well, because, I have a yellow lab here at home named Roxy. She reminds me so much of Marley. They're so much alike. And she was even a "clearance puppy" too! It was a cute movie, but I was sad about the ending. Last edited by college_girl; 04-29-2009 at 04:08 PM. |
