That's great! Aw, maybe they are nicer in Minnesota. I had him in a carrier and he was just 13 weeks old. None of the patrons minded and wanted to pet him. Then the cashier started yelling at me that dogs cannot be in a restaurant. One customer was kind enough to bring me my drink as I waited- banished outside :D:rolleyes:.

I find it hard shopping with the girls (or girl) as they have to keep out of peoples way if they are walking or dragging on my arm if in a bag or carrier. Oddly enough most small dogs are allowed into restaurants in this country just as long as they sit quietly. We always have an admiring crowd around when we eat out with the pups and they love the attention. My girls are very well behaved and of course they are soooo cute. They are really allowed to go most anywhere except food stores.

One of my grooming clients says they let her bring her standard poodle in Barnes and Noble.

I always shop where I can use a cart/buggy and put the bag in the there. She likes to ride around as long as she can see out of her bag enough to see me.

Our little furbaby goes everywhere with us....she sleeps in her bag or peeks her head out! only chased out of Target once......I understand that! She just loves to be part of the gang.:rolleyes:

Its not very dog friendly here and the only places I know you can take a dog are pet shops and places like Petco.

OK...let's question why they won't let little dogs in resturants....my babes could not lift their legs high enough to pees on someones food. Nope...can't even eat off the table...all 3 are height challanged. All they could do is cause a cute alert.
It's those darn BIG kidz that spoiled it! :rolleyes:

I have taken Laci in to Home Depot , where they loved her so much they wanted me to take her to the courtsey desk to show her off!! Lowes, Michaels, Joanne Fabrics, the curtain factory, the only place that was rude to me was the Christmas Tree Shoppe , I had her in a cart in a carrier and she would NOT ring me up , I had to have my daughter take her outside, they carry food and said it was not healthy!! Oh and all the dollar trees, they dont seem to mind at all!!

Same here but we've never been chased out of anywhere. However we don't take her to high end places, but we didn't take our kids to those places either.

Yes, they knock things over, eat things they shouldn't, drool, potty on the floor, chase little kids and little kidz. They ruined it! LOL

I think it's probably a health issue. Personally, I really don't relish the idea of eating in a restaurant with a bunch of strange dogs.:thumbdown To be perfectly honest, I would probably wouldn't go to a restaurant where I knew it was allowed.

I don't know if this counts because it's an open-air mall, but Stony Point Fashion Park in Richmond, VA allows dogs of all kinds. Some stores only allow small dogs because of the limited space, but very few (i.e. Coach) don't want any inside at all. I had so much fun there. My friend also brought her baby (a Shih-Tzu and Bichon mix), but he's such a guy and got tired of being in the stores quick.

I've brought my baby into so many stores, but I really think it has a lot to do with her size. The ones I distinctly remember where she was showered with love were the movie theaters, Apple (they loved her the most), Forever21, JCrew, and Jaspers (restaurant) and The Cheesecake Factory.

Don't come to Germany then haha they allow dogs EVERYWHERE! I've yet to find a place that doesnt allow em. It's become a goal for me to find a place i can't take my girl lol.

It's gonna be really REALLY hard to go back to the states knowing i cant take honey to dinner w/ me :(

so what i've gained out of this thread is as long as you have the dog in a bag or carrier type thing they usually won't say anything? I have a diaper bag that i use for honey's bag (it was only $10 and its so dang cute!). I usually use that EVERYWHERE we go, doubles as a purse too :p:D
