| Please Pray for My Bella's Leg Hi everyone, My Bella injured her leg on Monday evening while playing with her toys. It appeared that she jumped up to catch her favorite ball and twisted her left hind leg in a strange manner as she was landing causing her some discomfort. She has been carrying that leg at times and running full speed on all fours at others. Other than not running on the injured leg at time, she has not demonstrated any signs of pain. She even went to a photo shoot yesterday and was perfectly fine. She will be 1 year old on May 9th and weighs 4.5 - 5lbs (so she's not overweight). I am taking her to the vet today at 2:15PM and I *PRAYING* that she only has a slight sprain or strain, and nothing more serious. Please join my in praying for my little one. I know the prayers and positive thoughts of YT members are very powerful.

| Prayers it's just a strain. Gracie Ruth hurt her leg a few weeks ago from a too strenuous walk. Dr D gave us some meds and she is right as rain again. Although I think she has finally figured out the advantages of being a "Princess". I was carrying her everywhere the first several days, now she doesn't protest near as much when I carry her.

| I'm praying for your Bella, and for you to have some peace of mind...I always worry when I'm playing w/Apple, w/all the turns and jumps they do, when playing ball...I have to tell myself that she'd be in worse condition, if we didn't play, and just try to relax...I've hurt myself, in the past, playing tennis, bowling, riding horses, sports, etc. etc. etc., and they're no different...We're all looking forward to hearing about that good report you'll be telling us soon.... | Sending prayers your way! This actually happened to Remy the first day we had him!! His nails caught in a carpet and he twisted his rear leg. He ultimately only had a strain and was on medication for 10 days and was as good as new afterwards. I can tell you it was absolutely heartbreaking, especially because he was so new! In hind sight it was a good experience because we had his legs, hips, spine all xrayed and looked at by two different vets. One benefit of the experience - we know definitively that he has no issues with his joints, hips and does not have LP - so we have that peace of mind on a go-forward basis. Hope your situation works out positively!! |

| Update Once again thank you all for your prayers for my sweet Bella. We just returned from the vet and it turns out that Bella has LP in both of her knees. According to the new vet that we visited, it was a genetic condition caused by too shallow of a grove for her knee cap. She has grade 1 in her right hind leg and grade 2 in her left hind leg. I am shocked by this considering that she was checked when she was younger and she had no signs of problems and she has never exhibited any problems. The vet showed me how to manually rotate her little knee into place, which is going to be very hard for me to do because I hate to see her in plain. She was also proscribed two medications and we will be checking in with the doctor on Friday to chart her progress. I am very sad that she has LP, but I am slightly relived that it has not progressed into anything more severe. And the vet said that most of his patients that have had this condition have had their symptoms controlled without the use of surgery.
