| Thanks for all the quick responses! I think I am going to try to take him to puppy classes. Does anyone recommend the classes that Petsmart or Petco offer? |

i went to sirius puppy school, and they have like a bio page for the trainers so i was able to read about the trainer, it's kind of nice. there are many people that have gone to petsmart puppy school, so they should be able to tell you if it's any good or not. the only thing ive heard is my friend taking her puppy to petsamrt classes, she didn't like it. but i think it really depends on the trainer you get for the class. good luck! | |

| 1. Our vets office sponsored training classes - I agree they are priceless. We learned the how-to-train basics. From that you can apply the basics to any training issue that is important to you. 2. Bailey never was a biter; that said, she has never liked being petted either. I feel kinda robbed 'cause she'll only let me pet her on her terms. Just like Sweet Apple said - I get to pet her when she's tired and tuckered out - lol. I guess that's just a part of their terrier personality? anyhow, it makes our cuddle session all that more precious. I will absolutely stop what I'm doing if she's ready to cuddle. The good part is that she's not a needy dog who constantly needs to be petted - so for that, I'm thankful!!

| We had a real issue with biting at first but we would just yell say no bite and put Laddy in his crate for 5 min and ignore him. It only took a few times of this for him to learn it was unexceptable. |
