| Back from Vacation with great news!! So I arrived home yesterday from my vacation. To my surprise the vet had called earlier in the day and had called my dad and left a message for me, so I called him back at his home since that is where he called from. Strangely he was not gone out of the country yet. He is leaving in the next couple days for a month, I guess he was just taking some time off. So we spoke for a little while about her progress, he said she is doing great recovering, her nose went well, he said it isn`t perfect but he was able to make two nostrils, there isn`t any cartilage inside the nose to separate the area inside but that is only a very small area and then there is some that separates the two nostrils. He said he was going to remove the ulchers on her eyes but he didn`t get enough time to do that but it didn`t seem like he was too concerned about it. He had done some bloodwork on her and everything came back good, he had no concerns. He said she did good under anesthia, he was very careful. He said she is very delicit and that you need to be extremely careful with her, he said from his findings he believes that she may of been poisoned. He said with her even smelling or licking something off her paws caused what had happen. He said it could of been as simple as asprin to even rat poison. I know I don`t have any rat poison in my house at all. He said it could of been a number of things that caused her to have bleeding inside, that is why she was bleeding from her butt. I did give her asprin but it was several days before that incident, I was told I could by the previous vet. That was the only problem on the blood work that came up but everything is good now, she is healthy and has gained weight, she is pretty chubby now. So he said that everyone in the office has become attached to her and all adore her but she isn`t really bonding well with anyone, he said she just likes to sit in the corner of her cage and that he was told how happy our visits have made her. He said he understands how much she loves me and that he thinks she wouldn`t be as happy with someone else as she is with me. He said he felt it would be the best for her to come home to me. Of course I need to be even more careful now, I am not going to use any cleaners on my floors any more because I am thinking that may of even been something that could of set that off, or even perhaps while I had family over that weekend someone may of dropped a pill or something, I know some people take prescribition medication and with things being so hectic who knows would could of happen. So he said I could go and pick her up right away but he had spoke with the owner and I had to pay for some of the services. I had no problem with that, I just wanted my baby back home so I hurried over there at 11pm and picked her up. She was SO excited to see me, the vet tech was just saying wow she`s so happy to see you. She had shaved her pretty darn short, but it will grow back, she said she`s been with her most nights and takes her out, she said they became buddies but Stormy is just not that interested and she was a bit depressed there. So I will get some pictures of her as soon as I can, right now she is just so anixous to be home, in the car she was totally crazy luckily I live really close to the office. Last night she literally slept on my head and didn`t move an inch at all, she has been giving everyone kisses non stop and is just so happy to be home with us. I am so happy too!! |

| I had tears in my eyes as I was reading your story. I am so glad that she got to come home to you! Please make sure to tell that vet that he needs to teach his compassion to every vet out there! What a wonderful man. Can't wait to see pictures of Stormy. I bet that she is so happy to be home! Yay!

| That is wonderful! I can imagine how happy Stormy is to be home with her family again. Yes as others said, thank that vet and have him teach the other ones more compassion. As for pills etc. I always open my medicine bottles over the sink, as I am apt to drop a pill, and I would much rather lose it down the drain, then inside my little Baxter. again, this is such wonderful news!!! Give Stormy big from everyone pulling for her

| I just new that there'd be a happy ending to this story. That is an incredible vet to help you out the way that he has. And to think Stormy was almost PTS. I think she's going to do just great from here on in. C*O*N*G*R*A*T*U*L*A*T*I*O*N*S...you've got your furbaby home again!

YT 1000 Club Member | I also have tears in my eyes reading this. I'm so happy for you and Stormy all of this worked out for the better. I know how heart broken you were thinking you were having her PTS. This will make a believer out us when it comes to miracles! Can you imagine how good she felt sleeping with you that first night? Probably the most safe she's felt in a long while. Hugs to you both!
