| when i bought my pup she was 4 1/2 months. black with silvery roots near her skin. I was told she would stay black. Is that true? |

| Probably not. She probably will still have some black but some silver also. Its hard to say. They go through several coat changes before adulthood. What color were her parents?

| Did you see the mother and father? That should give you a fairly good clue as to what her adult coloring "might" be.

| i didnt get to see the mom and dad. the owner had died in a freak accident and her girlfriend, also a yorkie owner was selling her for them so the parents werent on the premises. She assured me she would have the same black coat as her yorkie but i'm wondering if that will be the case. |

| I assume she is going to go lighter.... the only one of mine who stayed darker is my Wilma.... she never had the silver roots. Most of my yorkies have gone platinum on their heads... a mix of black and silver on their backs.
