Lol, if anyone ever asks you what breed it is, you can tell them it's a Yorkshire Terrier, and you can prove it! :D |

Yep she's a yorkie and a very cute one at that. :D |
Thats awesome.. congrats!!!!!!So what do you think??? Should I test Arizona??? |
I haven't read this whole thread, so this may have been suggested. You can have her DNA tested to see just what breed she is. Your vet should be able to tell you where to get this done. I have one that I swear is half weenie dog. She is a year old and only weighs 3 lbs, but is two dogs long and 1/2 a dog high. I didn't want her when we got her, but we had lost our beloved Ruby 2 days before and my Hubbie would have bought a St. Bernard if they told him it was Yorkie. She weighed 3 lbs when we bought her. She was 6 mo old. I hoped she would gain some weight, but she weighs exactly what she did the day we bought her. We gave $1,200 for her. We love her, but she is sooooo ugly. |

I'm not computer savy and don't know how to post pictures. I don't even have a camera. I wish I did. She really is so ugly she is cute. We call her Punky. Short for Pumpkin Spice. (We got her on Halloween) It fits her because her face is so small and her hair stands up all over her head like a punk rocker. She picks pockets and goes through purses. You don't dare leave anything where she can get into the pockets. She also loves my cell phone. |

Congradulations rebecag The dna test makes sense to me because the Yorkshire Terrier was developed from other terrier breeds in England and some of those breeds are now extinct. And in the time line of evolution of dog from wolf it wasn't that far back. I want to thank you for letting us into your adventure, I know it helped me resolve some doubts about some of my Yorkies. You can't google this kind of one on one information. I have sometime had puppies get too big, bigger than their parents, "bat" ears, reddish coloring, etc. and it is not apparent in their parents. Of course I sell them less expensive and as companions and try harder for good solid socialization for them. Because what it comes down to the Yorkshire Terrier is the best dog in the world for men, woman and children, I try for the standard in all my breeding programs but sometimes you get little throw backs.Lol Again Thank you :) |
