You know, I was just going over the breeding thing in my head and I'm not going to do it. I wanted to be a responsible breeder but it's so hard to find someone responsible to get a Yorkie from to breed with....it's unfortuneate that the only place you can find a Yorkie is from a Puppy mill type breeder!!!!!! And yes, I'll still keep her.....but I'm angry because I would have rather rescued one if I was going fix and get poor quality anyway....not to say rescues are poor quality...my pekenese is 12 years old, has an overbite but is the best!!!! It's just I was upfront with my intentions and the breeder gave me something you shouldn't breed.....she knew better!! |

I am glad your not going to breed her. I agree for the price you paid and for letting her know your intention was to breed you should have gotten a better quality yorkie. Unfortunately you almost need to buy from a show breeder if you want a breed quality yorkie |
AKC kits are only for AKC registered dogs. I'm checking with vets and going to find a reasonable priced DNA checker and if she's a mix, which the more I look at her the more I am convinced, the breeder is going to wish she never sold me a dog...I just can't believe the things people do! It just always amazes me!!! Someone should monitor breeders better or something?????? I don't know, it's just been an ordeal finding a Yorkie with breeding rights and now I see why!!!! I'm not a scum bag and wouldn't do what some of these people do with animals! Unreal!!!!!!!!! I'll put my OCD to full use on this one and shut every puppy mill down...LOL! |

That website says AKC breeds does that mean only AKC registered dogs can do the test....it was that way on the AKC website....I'll call them and find out.... |

That's what I figured that's why I'm going with the vet. She had us sign a contract which she said all she did was take the line out saying I couldn't breed out. It doesn't matter anyway because the contract is void because she sold the dog as a purebred Yorkie and if it's not a purebred the contract is as good as the ACA registration.... |

No, I didn't check first but I will. She has sort of a website with really good reviews that's why I chose her. I have emails going back and forth stating what I was looking for etc etc...so there is proof. I'll have to check the contract over. I'm going to see a lawyer anyway if the test comes back and she's a mix. If I'm right, she messed with the wrong girl because I won't stop until she's stopped!!!!!! I'll give her the option to make it right but if she chooses not to I'll stop at nothing....sounds aweful of me but I wouldn't do this to someone that's what makes me so angry! I told her about a puppy mill I drove an hour and a 1/2 to unknowingly see and this woman's Yorkies OMG! I accidentally saw the room filled with over 40 dogs....I explained to her what happened and she new how I felt about this kind of nonsense done with animals! ANGER!!!!!!!!!!! |

How long have you had the puppy? Did you notice she didn't look like a Yorkie when you went to see her? |
Yes, I did mention her head being very small and that she didn't look anything like my male and she said some Yorkies hair takes longer to come in and that the broader head isn't good in a Yorkie and that her head was better. Like I said, the only reason I took her was because the parents were really good looking and I was thinking her looks would change???????? It wasn't until later I suspected they weren't the parents....Oh, it does say Yorkie on the contract but still....I just think she has something else going on...her bum curls up when she runs just like a chuahua and her head screams chuahua to me...maybe I'm wrong, who knows until the test comes back...Do you think she's a mix? |

I can definitely see how you could believe she is part chihuahua... Her head and ears look really chihuahua. I hope you find out what she is and can settle this. She sure is a cutie though! :D |

I think I'm responsible as far as taking care and loving my animals. All my pets live in doors and get plenty of attention. I think that should be first. I love to watch dog shows but to participate in one seems a little unneccesary because in my oppinion they're sappose to be companions and household members in which all of my animals are. I realize we need dog shows to set a standard and fun to watch! I'm not being fresh but should poor quality dogs be placed in responsible newcomers homes and not good quality???? I think if a person is going to take good care of and love an animal they should have access to good quality animals...I hope you don't think I'm not responsible?????????? My husband says he wishes he were one of the animals...lol |
