| Dog wont go to bed at night? At night my puppy 'gets tired' around 8pm. She will start looking at us and letting us know that she wants to turn in. This of course is way too early for us so we encourage her to sleep on the couch while we relax. The problem is, she wont. She has learned to sleep with people at night in a bedroom (any bedroom). She just can't go to sleep unless someone is there. She will be so tired she can barely keep her head up, but wont turn in. While its super cute, its also probably not good for her (she needs her rest, not even a year old). I could crate her before bed, but she never uses the crate anymore unless we leave the house for more then an hour or two. So, how do you encourage a puppy to sleep alone? Is this something she will outgrow? Any suggestions?
