| Proper Yorkshire Terrier My little man is meeting his maker this weekend As you know he is a no bows no frills yorkie 3 rats and a pidgeon to his name now On saturday I am driving 100 miles to my aunties place in Wharefdale Yorkshire Alfie and I will camp in the back of my van and we will shower at my aunts house We will undertake a 15 mile walk through a section of Wharfdale The smells he will experience will be like none other in his life The scenes i will experience will be superb I will have my camera with me So look in next week and meet Alfie in his home environment A Yorkie in yorkshire I hope the pics I take will do justice for my little mate and also for the beautiful yorkshire countryside Stay posted folks P.S. I promise some Pics of him dirty and bedraggled munching his Shmackos , his little treats don't worry he will have plenty of food and water I have treatment for his pads if they get sore and if he gets too tired he can sit in my shoulder bag and get carried home, I think he may last about 7-8 miles before he gives in, but no probs, I can carry him home and he will smell the whole journey By the way, he is 8 years old later this year, so much guts and spunk in him Wish me luck Love G |

| You had me so sad there at the beginning, when you said he was going to meet his maker -- I thought you meant he was going to meet his "Maker" as in pass from this life to the everafter. Then I got the meaning of your wonderful sounding journey to the place of Yorkie's origin. How exciting it sounds!

| FLDeb He is going to where these little people were first bred his homeland My Father was born In Bradford Yorkshire, he is 82 now but has lived in the south of England since 1948, my das first occupation before going to the 2nd world war was as a weaver in the wool mills of yorkshire He knows these dogs as working dogs in the mills and can't understand why people dress them up My little man is a good worker, he keeps the garden clear If we still had wool mills I would have put him to work in there as it is his breeding If you ever wonder why they bark and get snappy, look at the breeding If you work them they are content My little man certainly is, he is so fit and healthy, his teeth are a dentists pride and joy, he tears up bones, pigs ears, but never his soft play toys I am taking a pigs ear with his food on saturday and also his dried food oh and also a marrow bone he has been working on see my other thread love to hear from you take care G |

| Wharfedale Take a look at this countryside I have been here many times and also many of the other dales, If you have never been, put it on your visiting list, oh! and bring a good pair of walking boots The experience of a lifetime and a yorkie companion makes it even better |

| Luvla I have spent a few months of my life in Florida I was living in Jacksonville and have many fond memories of my time working and living there, but there is something special about the Dales, I think partly as I inherited it from my family and spent part of my childhood there, the latter part of my life I lived and worked in the south of England mainly in London and now I am 54 I have moved north again, Iam living in staffordshire on the edge of the pennines, so there is no shortage of beautiful places for me to walk and visit, even better with my Alfie with me, he loves every minute of the outdoor life, so as you can see I only ever put a jacket on him when the temp is freezing, he bites it off if is too warm hehe |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I guess many of us thought the same, thing, lol, I was ready to ball my eyes out, I thought he had some incurable disease and you were taking him on one last beautiful walk before seeing the vet. Oh you are so mean. Lol, I'm so glad he's going to see his origins that's a much more exciting and fun trip. I think we have a member from Yorkshire England.
