Biewer Weight?

Yes it is confusing and I'm not sure if your speaking of a "parti-yorkie" when you refer to a tri-colored yorkie or not... but I breed Biewers (NOT Biewer Terriers) they are a variation of a yorkie that is tri colored. They originated in Germany. On the pedigrees, they are called a Biewer Yorkshire ala Pom Pon. In Germany, when I purchased the dogs, they were considered a variant of the Yorkshire Terrier. This was in 2006, just a few short years ago. It was only when they came to this country and some groups decided they wanted to get these beautiful creatures into the AKC did the NEED for them to become something OTHER than what they are develop. Now, magically, they are something else...poof!

If you care to look at my website, feel free to do so.. I'm sure when you see the sires and dams on there, you will have NO question as to the breed of these dogs.

I believe, the parti yorkie does not have a standard at the present time where the Biewer does.. actually, we seem to get a new one all the time ...

Oops, I did it again. Yes, I mean't the Parti Yorkies. Do you feel there is no need to have the Biewer recognized by AKC? What will happen than if they don't? How will they be defined as a breed of their own? Or, are they a breed of their own?

They are a Biewer Terrier, they are a relative of the Yorkshire Terrier. I have no doubt in my mind, that they will be accepted by AKC, it may be awhile or it may happen soon(hopefully the latter), but, I am sure it will happen, thanks to the only club trying to get them accepted(BTCA). I don't know why it seems to bother you so much that they're working so hard on getting them accepted by AKC.??

Donna was very nice in posting the results of Decoration and was told at that time to spay and neuter all siblings. She bred her sister and then sold her as a breeder AGAINST what she was told. She is not responsible for the introduction of the Biewer in America. I told my Uncle Dieter to bring me a puppy when he came over for vacation in 2003. I had never heard of Donna until I already had my dogs and I can say that 99% of the people I talked to had never heard of her either.

So Uncle Dieter is responsible for the very first Biewer in America?? I'm not quite sure I understand, lol

You have to read the whole paragraph. I was simply stating that I was looking to have my uncle bring a Biewer with him when he came over on vacation. I didn't know Donna Hall or anyone else in America with Biewers.

The WRV is the only registry in Germany that I know of that has Biewer Yorkshire a la Pom Pon on the registration. If there are others, please share them with us. All the other registries call them a Biewer Yorkshire Terrier a la Pom Pon including ACH, the original club that Mr. Biewer registered his dogs with. Why do you think he did that?

We fully understand that you don't have Biewer Terriers. The Biewer Terrier is a purebred, breed of it's own. The BTCA has proven that they are not just a color variation of the Yorkie and THAT is why we call them Biewer Terriers. What BTCA member told you differently?

As you stated, you are breeding Yorkies and tri colored Yorkies together. I believe you are also going by a standard that the Mi-Ki breeders wrote, not Mr. Biewer.
Now, some people breed Yorkies to a variation of the Yorkie and magically they are something else. POOF!

As far as AKC goes, all the clubs are submitting for recognition and there are only 2 of them that have changed their names for AKC. The BTCA changed it's name in 2006 before submitting to AKC.
We all submitted to ARBA at the same time and who did they chose as the best representation of the breed?
