| Glad I am not the only one who has a furbaby that likes to be roughed up. When I play with her she looks at me like" your kiddding right? thats all you got? LoL She seems to enjoy it so I guess I will continue to let the DH and Marley continue to rough house. |

| Zeke loves to tug and play rough. Zack on the other hand just wants to cuddle and be loved but will "entertain" Zeke for a few minutes. They are not small at 13.5 and 11.5 lbs. How big is Marley? Sounds like "hubby" knows that there are limits to how far he can go, especially if she is a smaller yorkie and vet bills for injuries can get expensive in a hurry. Make sure you look at quarantine regs long before your transfer dates.

| My brother is the same way with my Suzi ! However, he knows his limits. Suzi is close to 8 lbs though, and he never crosses the line with her, just gets her all nutty, and hyped up... She goes back for more too. When my brother is here Suzi ignores me! It's all fun and games to her, and I trust him. She listens to him better then me as well. I know that Suzi is in good hands , and he was the one who taught her the word NO. .

| Thor's Human Donating Member | I wonder if some yorkie are sturdier than others. Thor has fallen off the bed, I've accidentally rolled over on him while I'm sleeping and he occasionally gets stepped on. It's never affected him in the slightest. The other day he ran into a metal door frame while looking back at me, and I had visions of poor Suri who broke her neck doing the very same thing. He didn't even notice. That's not to say he's indestructible. We've met some tough little yorkies in the park, and they trip over him when they try to play. He does not like that one bit.

| YT 1000 Club Member | I know what your both talking about. Since reading some of the horror stories on freak accidents here I'm much more parinoid of her getting hurt. Rox is 5 lbs. and she jumps up on and off of the bed in a big hurry at times and gets pretty clumsy when she's in her big fired hurry. I didn't really used to worry about most of it untill some of the stories I read here. It's has made me be more cautious and I have an even more watchful eye over her.

| What's a DH? IMO? I keep thinking DH (darn husband LOL) I am going to die laughing if thats what it really is. I play rough with all my furry kids (especially with foster babies). I know when they have enough or what's too rough with who. I think for the fosters its good incase they go where there are younger (not toddlers) kids. I don't really pin them thou. My 3 year old yorkie 9-10lb can easily jump on the kitchen counter. My bed is also on risers and I'm constantly cringing when he jumps for a toy on the floor from my bed. My bed is 3ft off the floor. |

| Donating YT 500 Club Member | DH is "dear husband" but I'm sure "darn" would fit sometimes, too! My husband plays semi-rough with ours but she loves it and never does her tail wag faster than when she sees him coming in the room. She thinks he is a toy, I think! We are careful but I don't want to coddle her to the point that we take all the life spirit out of her. It's that part mischief/part rebel that makes her so much fun. She has just the right amount of spirited mischief to make her interesting! (IMO means "in my opinion" if you were asking about that also.) Last edited by TOY; 04-24-2009 at 08:03 PM.
