| I have a pup from a litter we had in October. "Baby" weighed 1 pound, 4 ounces at 13 weeks. She is now 6 months old and weighs 2 pounds, 4 ounces. I hope she gets to 3 pounds but have my doubts. Here's a picture of her at 4 months old.

| Abbi was 1 pound 2 ounces when I got her at 17 weeks. She was 1 pound 6 ounces at 23 weeks. She seems to have grown quite a bit in the last week or so, so I'm not sure what she weighs now. She drives my 6.5 and 9.9 pound boys crazy when she wants to play. She just doens't give up. They both play with her and "mouth" (kind of pretend to bite) her and it scares me to death because they could snap her little legs with their big strong bites, but they're very gentle with her. She (according to the growth charts) looks to be under 2 pounds fully grown, but all my yorkies are larger than they should be, so I'm assuming that she'll be around 3 pounds. For some reason, I just seem to grow then big! I worry about her much more than I did the boys when they were small. She just seems more delicate. But she's doing fantastic. My vet said that she's the smallest dog they're ever had in their offices. She told me that she won't even consider spaying her until she's a year old and even then we'll have to see how much she weighs. She's got a strong heart, great teeth and "all her holes in the right places". So the vet said she's extremely healthy. Michele :-) |

| Wow I cannot imagine having a 2 lb dog fully grown. Laddy is 6 months and 2.8lbs and I am hoping he gets at least 3.5. Even as a puppy the size scares me. They are just to brave for their own good with jumping etc. no matter how hard I try to stop it. |

| My mom's 11 yo yorkie is just under 2 1/2 pounds, so I'm used to being around small dogs. My husband tells me that I'm spoiling Abbi rotten by lifting her off the couch and not letting her "be a dog" and jump down. I'm much happier when she's in my lap or on the floor on one of the new pillows that I've made for her. Funny thing is - I made two larger pillows for the boys and two smaller ones for her. She's sound asleep in the center of one of the biggest pillows and the boys are both curled up on the small pillows. It looks really funny. Makes her look even smaller than she is. Michele :-) |

| Lexi was that small at that age too! She just turned 4 and weighs 3 lbs and is typical yorkie-thinks she's at least 20 lbs and loves to talk! They probably just don't see dogs that small in their vet office maybe and that's why the girl makes the remarks about your baby being so small.

| My Razael (the baby of the family) was 1 pound 11 oz. at 14 weeks and I was so worried she would be under 5 pounds, but am proud to say she is 6 pounds now at 19 months. she hasn't gained for months, so guess this is the size she will stay and I couldn't be happier. My favorite size is 6 to 8 pounds.

| Yep, I do not breed for small, but it happens sometimes. I gave them both to my mom. Itsy Bitsy is 2 years old & weighs 2 lbs. My mom wished for another small one & she got her wish. Thumbelina is 8 mos. old & weighs alittle under 1 1/2 lbs. I didn't keep them, as I show my dogs & she really wanted them, it makes her happy. Anything for my momma. |

| I believe Silvia was about that size at four months. I don't have her baby book with me to see her exact weight, but she was just under 2lbs at six months old, so that's about right. She is four and a half years old now and right at 2lbs. 14oz. The breeder estimated her to be around 4-5lbs, but she just never made it there. We have been fortunate to not have any health problems with her. Maybe your baby will just be a small one.......a "pocket puppy" as my DH calls her!

| Molly was 1lb. 6oz. when I got her at 10 weeks. She is now 3 lbs. 8 oz. She is a healthy eater along with her occasional snacks (canned dog foods, yorkie yummies, bully sticks). Since her weight hasn't changed now for a month or so, I'm kind of thinking she's going to stay at that weight. Boy, and I thought my little one was small. Your little girl is small and sweet though and very cute.
