| I'm gonna lose my mind I took Simba my cat to the vet today, to get checked out. He's lost weight and is skinny. He's got hyperthyroidism. Well he got blood tests done again today and his kidney enzymes are a little elevated, she said it might be early signs of kidney failure, but she's not totally sure, he has to go back in about a week and a half and they're going to test his urine. His white blood cell count is also elevated and she thinks he has some kind of infection, so he's on antibiotics for that. He also got some blood sent out to check his thyroid levels to see if that's why he's losing weight again. I thought things were going good, now Simba has all this going on. He's also on ear drops, he has yeast infection in his ear. Sometimes I feel like I'm failing taking care of my babies, I feel like should be doing more. On a side note I seen a cute yorkie at the clinic when I went to pick up Simba's meds. He was so adorable, he was wearing a cone. He was blonde and silver. I loved his color. |

| I'm so sorry you're going through that with your pet. I also have two cats and we went through a period of worrying about my little boy's kidneys. It started as a kidney infection, but we were able to clear it up. He is now on Science Diet Prescription Kidney Health food. It has helped tremendously, if that is an option for you. I really hope that it turns out to be something that he can bounce back from quickly! I hate to hear about any pet that is sick.

| It does seem like it all comes on at once sometimes, doesn't it. Praying that it turns out to be nothing serious. Please let us know what the results turn out to be.

| Thanks. Yes it does seem like it happens at once. I got his results back for his thyroid level test today. The vet said it's normal, he's right where they want him to be. He hasn't eaten much yet, we're trying some soft food, but he's not crazy about it. The vet is worried as well as us about the weight he's lost. She's not sure why he's lost weight. But we're going to finish his antibiotics and see if he'll eat more after he's done. |
