| Chewing all the wood in the house HELP! My 3 puppies are chewing all wood they can get ahold off. They chewed the corners of the floor panel, the window pane, my cedar chest. My house looks terrible. I have boards and blankets covering up alot of the wood. I have sprayed vinegar, some kind of barrier with tea oil in it.It only works for a little while then they go right back to chewing. Any advice is appreciated. |

| My Baxter used the corner of a antique hope chest to do his teething on. Try apple or lime bitter. You might have to spray it several times but it should work

| Try to buy a variety of interesting chew toys and a area where they don't have the run of the house. |

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | I bought the plastic squeeze lime juice, and squirted it on my baseboards. That helped, that and a whole lot of supervision. Good luck. |

| The only thing that worked with our chewer, Izzy, was men's deodorant stick, just rub it on the wood. She seemed to LIKE the bitter apple

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Put gel deodorant on every wooden surface...it won't hurt the wood and trust me...puppies may "taste" it, but that's all they do.

| Only thing that worked for me was deodorant. I tried bitter apple and she would lick it off! UGH... so yes deodorant it was. Also, get some chew toys and distract them.

| Chewing I took some galvanized sheet metal and made covers with rounded corners for all the corners of the base boards. They don't like the tin noise when is falls over or get hit by a toy. |

| I had this problem with Daizy and what worked for me was I got a squirt bottle and each time she chewed on something she should I squirted her...LOL She never knew where the water was coming from but she would stop chewing immediately. Plus I made sure she had bully sticks...and lots of other chewies available for her. Good luck
