YT 500 Club Member | ![]() Meg is paper trained and that is what we mainly use since we live in a high-rise apartment, but she also goes outside when we are on walks. She's not picky: grass, sand, pavement.... She even pooped while squatting on the curb once. Her little bum was hanging right over the edge of the curb, so the poops had quite a fall. It was so funny.

| ![]() Mine use the potty pads inside. I got the washable pads and they are great. It was winter here when I got them so they go inside. Right now they haven't got all their shots. The last time I took them outside they got ticks on them. To young for any meds for ticks too. |

| ![]() Mine use the pads during the cold months and go out during the warm months. It it didn't get so cold and the snow didn't get so deep I would have them go out all the time as they like it and they seem to do much better with it.

| ![]() I'm actually trying to make the switch from outdoor pottying to going inside on pee pads. Lol! Roxie is such a prissy little girl. It's still cold here in Utah, so when I let her out, she stays on my porch and does her business there. She absolutely refuses to walk down into the snow or the cold wet grass. I hate having to get the hose out and spray down my porch in 30 degree weather.. ahh. Does anyone use litter boxes?? I've been considering it.. |

| ![]() Missy's uses peepads only. She's the first dog that I've owned who's used them. When she came home as a puppy she was already using them. Because of her small size and the cold weather and snow, I thought it was best to just continue with them throughout the winter. Now, I am finding them so convenient that I don't think I'll bother transitioning her to outdoors. I mean, she does go pee or poop outside if we happen to be outdoors when she has to go, but otherwise the pads work great for us. If I could only find some kind of a tray to use for underneath the pads, then I would be happy.

| ![]() Hubby would freak if I "allowed" Mia to pee in the house so she is in process of potty training and so far *knocks on wood* so good. She's been barking to go out for the last two days now, I'm so proud, and only one mistake yesterday and today has been accident free! I was very afraid because I am from Winnipeg and I got her when we were having a -35 deep freeze but she did it (and quickly, lol)! I'm looking forward to summer and standing outside with her in nice weather, lmao!

| ![]() Since we get allot of rain and also due to having field hawks close, we choose to use the washable pee pads. She gets two clean pads a day and so far it's worked for us. ![]() |

We use pee pads for during the day while we're at work only while potty training so if they can't hold it at least the pad is there. However, as they get potty trained they use the pads less and less through the day while we're gone and eventually we just take them away.

| ![]() Annie has used disposable pee pee pads since we got her as a puppy. She's four now and will go outside if she happens to be out. Its more convenient for me to have her use them. If I have to be gone for awhile, I don't worry about leaving her home alone.

| ![]() I take Zipper out as he doesn't ask to go out but who would we had another 2 inches of snow this morning. My 17 year old asks to go out but she can hold it 6 hours or so. Zip has to go every 2 hours or we have accidents. When I take him out he always peas but he only poops first thing in am and again in early afternoon and again after eating in pm.....it is getting the poops on schedule that is tricky. I am down to about one accident a day and I know if there wasn't a staircase and 15 stairs I'd leave door open...legs will grown soon I hope! |

| ![]() We are strictly indoors on Potty Pads. I was always VERY afraid to let him go outdoors because he wasn't fully vaccinated when I got him plus it was November and really cold. Now I just don't want him out to do anything unless it's for a walk, and he doesn't potty so often that it annoys me at all. Then there is the fact that... Our front yard isn't fenced and there are lots of stray dogs so I am not feeling totally safe with that, and I have my bigger dogs kenneled in the back so obviously there would be germs from their waste back there. I like the fact that he is mostly indoors but if we were outside and he had to go .. he would. |

BANNED! | ![]() Bingo go's outside... Minnie is only 12 weeks and doesn't have all her vaccinations to go outside but I take her out on my arms...I think it is important for them to go out and get fresh air and they do need exercise the more stimulation they get the less active and wild they are indoors...I can't wait to put Minnie on a leash.... ![]() |
