Bounce House for a yorkie trade!

WTH, What more can Emma go thru. Between the Breeder an Buyer and now this. She is touched by Greedy liars that dont care. Please someone in Utah give this Girl a new home and a new start. Please. We tried so hard to help her but it failed now we need someone in that area to please adopt this poor girl that needs to be treated like a queen. OMG all of this has happened right in front of our eyes. THE Bounce House, the fights between the Breeder and the Buyer and then the Buyer complaining and not taking up anyones offer to help Emma. What is the solution for this problem and how can we fix it and make it better for Emma. Any suggestions.

The sad thing is that there probably is no solution to Emma's plight because it is all driven by money. As they say "Money is the root of all evil".

Jodi this is so true and I know you see it everyday with pups brought into Yorkie Haven.I applaud you and others on here that sacrifice lots of your time to save these babies from people that we have all witnessed. We all need to support your efforts because there are lots of EMMAS out there and lots of Breeders and Buyers like the ones Emma has been exposed to.

Nicely put. I think for the average person trading a wii system or a jumping thing doesn't think much about the fact that they are wiling to trade for a live animal...they are just looking at getting that certain dog that any other way may not be able to afford. For those of us that are complete yorkie lovers & breeders it is hard to fathom giving one of our babies away for a jumping machine or a wii system.

I do not want a bouncy house, so I would not have continued reading her ad either LOL. I am hoping that she was just joking. I do not think we have proof that she traded puppies for bouncy houses. I could be wrong, but I think she was just joking (poor taste).

People rent them for children's birthday parties etc. They are house/castle looking things that blow up with air by a compressor and the kids can bounce on the floor inside sort of like a trampoline. Little kids love them!

I agree with this statement. My husband's business is making tracking equipment. He knows of several guys who breed bird dogs because he sells them epuipment. He traded a tracking system once for a puppy from a well trusted breeder that he had known for a long time.

I should proudly add that we had the dog for 13 years. It was an English pointer named Tucker. He was great dog!

I should also add that I don't think doing this with perfect strangers is a good idea at all. It's one thing with merchandise but not a life of a little animal that has no say. Only only only if you know the person and both parties are certain they can trust each other.

I agree with erickajm and roxies mom statements. Trading is just another way of purchasing something. You do not need money to buy something all the time.

If we see 5 new (or active) threads on the same subject, we may close 4 of the threads as we try to avoid redundancy.

As this is a community site, we want to keep the atmosphere friendly, and often times, heated threads turn into huge arguments and name-calling, which leads to suspensions and or banned users, which we try to avoid. We have tried in the past to keep hotly-debated threads open, but it never works. It always turns out ugly. So threads may be closed before that happens.

It makes YT members and YT itself look bad when someone that is a new (a new member or potential new member) is on YorkieTalk for the first time sees a bunch of name-calling and childish behavior. I remember seeing the post, but not paying it much attention as I wasn't needing a bounce house. I thought the part about trading for a yorkie was a joke! I see that on craigslist all the time, and it makes me sick.

I was not trying to make this into a circus but when I went back to look for that post and was I saw what I did I could have kicked myself for not going back that day. Maybe if I had, some of this drama could have been avoided.
