| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | People rent them for children's birthday parties etc. They are house/castle looking things that blow up with air by a compressor and the kids can bounce on the floor inside sort of like a trampoline. Little kids love them!

| Hmmmm... so, would it have been different if she had posted for sale, bounce houses.. sold them and then bought the yorkies with the money she made from the sale? Bartering is completely normal. Businesses will barter services, i.e.. when I had my tanning salon I would trade for hair services... and before you say it, I am not trying to compare a yorkie with tanning or apples to oranges but then again, breeding is a business and so are bounce things..whatever they were. I realize I may be opening up a can of worms once I push submit but this is going to be another one of those posts where everyone jumps on the bandwagon of why and why nots... everyone that followed Emma's post knows what kind of a person that was... but what if someone else on here had posted that... Personally I don't think I would ever barter with Zoe's babies but what if there was a person that you approved of and this person happened to have something that you've been looking at but just didn't have the cash readily available?just being the devils advocate.

| I am going to sell them for $1000 each or will be happy to trade for tiny, silk, akc yorkie LOL (one puppy per bounce house Here you go! One puppy per bounce house! Not one person replied to her but she first posted on 3/2 and then came back on 3/16 to say there were all gone! She must have been getting PM's about it or why would she have gone back to her thread to let everyone know they were all gone? http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gar...ml#post2496936 http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/off...ml#post2496938

The only reason that I even remembered this post was because of a little controversy in the Rescue Forum this morning. There was a cross post from a Craigslist.com ad from TX that someone (not this same breeder) was willing to trade 2 Yorkies for a Wii game for her kids. People who posted to the thread were outraged and it made me remember this particular post. When I went to look for it I was shocked it was Emma's breeder who was trying to trade a Bounce House for a Yorkie!

On another note, why keep closing threads on Emma? - it's a healthy debate and it's a public forum - last time I checked the site's title was not "CommunistTalk" - it's Yorkie Talk. It will contain The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. And obviously, people are still interested in talking about Emma otherwise there wouldn't be more threads created ....and from what I can see one of the MOST VIEWED threads too. | |

I totally agree that the situation is fishy and totally messed up if what you suspect actually did happen. Edit: when i first read her thread on selling the bounce houses i thought she was kidding about the trade because she put a LOL after it. Hell if i was selling something and someone wanted to give me a perfectly healthy papered wonderful little yorkie, i'd probably take it. hahaha

| IMO the outrage over all of this is that many of us have come to YT looking for advice and information about the breed. We tend to forget this is the WWW and anyone can post and hide behind a screen as to who they are and what their true intentions are. We have all meet people here that we consider our friends. I personally have meet some very nice people on YT and even met some in person. So we start to let out guard down and when that happens we all are shocked to learn others true colors. This is were all of the controversy really lies in all of this. We have found out the true colors of some members and it has been a hard lesson to learn. I didn't know anything about either of the people involved with the Emma thread. We I originally saw the Bounce House for a Yorkie I was shocked and was going to report and question it, but I got busy and distracted but happened to remember it today so I went to look for it. That is when I saw who it was that had posted they would be willing to trade a toy for a yorkie.
