| I don't know, that's a good question. Madison's eye's were a beautiful blue, now they are a bluish/green.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | all puppies are born with actual blue eyes, which then change to black/brown eyes as they get older. the red/green/orange/blue glare you see is what people call "eye shine" its what you see when you take a picture. This can also change as the dog gets older. this is my yorkie at various ages. you see the blue and green shine is when she was a puppy and the red is when she was at least a year

I think the color variance has to do with lighting.

| Yes I also get the red eyes when I take my Diva's picture, I thought it was normal. What I had a question about was the eyes changing to red or glossy when she barks. I was hoping someone else could tell me why this happens |

is it the light change in the eye when she moves her head to bark?

| the eye shine is light reflecting off the retina of the eye. Most times if you get a blue or green eye shine as a puppy the dog will be silk coated. Red or orange as a puppy is usually a soft coat ruth |
