Oh little Stormy. I am so sad right now I can't believe it. She was pulling through with her little nose. I was so worried about her. I am stunned!! She was my favorite little one on here. The underdog if you will. I am soooo sorry for your loss. I know you did all you could for her. You gave her a great life while you had her. You were her mommy. She was a lucky little one to have you to take care of her. She has been through so much the poor baby. You were right there for her day and night. May she rest in peace. She will always be with you as long as you remember the good times you had with her. She will forever be your little baby. No one can take that away from you. Hugs from Coco, Pebbles and Trixie.

I am very sorry for your loss

I had to put my terrier down after 16 long years, she had a stoke in the middle of the night and when I went to wake her in the morning as she was deaf she got up and her whole body was in the wrong place (circular like) her head and but where at the same place. I knew I was loosing my baby and I had to make the decision to put her down and it was so hard. I think you were a great Mommy and you did what you had to do even though it was hard. Better not to suffer. But now you are, and I am so sorry for you. All in time day by day you will start to feel better. Remember her and talk about her a lot that is very healing, and will keep her alive in your heart. Your in our prayers and again I am so very sorry for your loss.

but she is finally at peace and free of pain.

I think I read in another thread that the vet waited 5 hours and still had not put Stormy down and then the OP got a call saying that another vet looked at her and said he could fix her, but wanted her to sign over custody of Stormy to him. I did not read any follow up since so I don't know what the outcome was. Elaine

I am so sorry. You have been through so much. My vet is of native American decent. When I had to put my pug, Yoda, down a couple of years ago I was holding Yoda and crying so hard telling him how much I would miss him. The vet said, "His spirit will beat you home". So, know that little Stormy's spirit is always with you.
