| yorkie pee on clothes So it's laundry day and the dirty clothes were in piles ready to be washed and one of our yorkies runs to one of the piles and pees. I washed the pile on the sanitize setting of our washer and the clothes still have a mild hint of pee smell, does anyone know how I can get the smell out or any product that's safe to put in the washer to help get the smell off our clothes? |

| I swear by a product called awsome. It has many many uses but works well getting that pee smell out of clothing.I use it when the pups had accidents on their blankets in their crate.I have only seen it at the dollar store.Hope this helps.

YT 1000 Club Member | You can even put some vinegar in the washing machine and soak the clothes for about 15 mins. then add soap and run it thru it's normal cycle. I have done this and it seems to work. |

YT 1000 Club Member | Roxie has a thing with my throw rugs. Mostly the one in front of the door. I have a pee pad off to the side in front of the door but for some reason she won't use it unless there is no rug. Grrr!! It's been hard potty training her because she can't bark to let me know. She's finally giving me the stare down when it's time and if I don't let her out she'll pee so it's my own fault. I was always used to having dogs that told me when by barking. These little ones have their own way of doing things. |

| I read somewhere on the internet that a cup of pinesol in the washer with your soap will remove any odors and kill mold. I use it when my kids leave their wet towels on the floors in their rooms and it works!

Do we have the same dog???? My Harley does the same thing, we have a throw rug by the back door right next to his pee pad and he always uses the rug.

YT 1000 Club Member | Due to her fixation with carpet we've ripped out all carpet exept in the bedrooms and are doing hardwood and tile in the rest of the house. Why can't she just use the pee pad all of the time instead of the rug? |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | The rug calls to them..nice and cushy on their behinds. OY I think all dogs especially a yorkie loves them a nice area rug.

the pee pad from a throw rug....size & shape...A lot of the "experts" advise against pee pads..(I use them)....Mac was not as bad as Maci. I have had to keep all throw rugs picked up or else she will tee-tee on every one!!!
