| The lead duo ok so I am sitting up here having computer time, and the dynamic duo found a lead pencil, was wondering what was so fascinating and what they were competing over, and the had eaten about half of it.....are we going to now have LEAD POISONING?????

| Gee, I don't know. That is a good question. I wonder if you could Google it and see if someplace tells how much would have to be ingested to be a problem. At the very least, I'd call my vets when they opened and ask them. Crazy puppies!!! How do any of them live to adulthood? How do WE make it that long?!

| Don't worry - there's no actual lead in pencils nowadays - you've got more risk of them getting little splinters of wood in their gums.

| Thank yall SInce at first I was getting no answers I did go and do research. Seems the pencils are now graphite, not lead. Also read that the danger is splinters to the digestive system, and I know this is going to sound bad, but if they didn't chew it up well enough. Of course, here we go with te Xrays, and anal exam etc., but Mika chewed it up pretty well, and little bit was eating pieces she dropped. I am to watch them for 24 hours and hope everything....um comes out in the wash so to speak ugh. They are both by the way sleeping peacefully on one bed at the moment.
