| ![]() I know how you feel. I read, before getting Buddy, that if you put time aside during the morning dedicated to your puppy it will help him adjust better. I sit on the floor Mon-Fri from 6:30 am to 7:00am playing with Buddy. It's our time. He is left alone 9hrs during the day while I work. He has adjusted wonderfully. Today he is five and we still sit and play for the 1/2 hr only now sometimes he goes back to sleep on me while I drink my coffee instead of trying to drink it himself ![]() It get's easier as they get older. |

| ![]() I've been working on a routine with my baby. He also has a little baby sister Maltese named Lilu, and the two of them play together...all the time. I sometimes wonder if they sleep at all when my fiance' and I are away!! Since Lilu is still potty training, they both stay in our kitchen with a baby gate and have food toys and bedding. They don't seem to mind so much because they have each other. When it was only Buddy, I always felt horrible leaving him alone, but I always gave him lots of love and kisses when I got home. |

| ![]() I work anywhere from 3 to 12 hours a day, 3-5 days a week, depending on the wedding and let me tell you just leaving her for an hour makes me worry. Ever since she had her attack of hypoglycemia, I worry about her ALL of the time. Even if she isn't in the same room as I am. I worry. So I completely understand.

| ![]() Is there any way that you can go home on your lunch hr? Just to spend time with your little one? Is there anybody that can check on your puppy, or spend time with her/him? I recently went on a three day trip to Disneyland with my son. I had my Brother take care of Suzi and the rest of the animals. It was extremely difficult. Everything went well, and Suzi loves my brother. If anything ever happens I do have my brother I can depend on to take care of Suzi. ![]()

| ![]() Unfortunately no, I can't come home for lunch (only get 1/2 hr.)...I think it's good that my schedule varies...Some days I work 9:45-5:45, and other days 1:15-9:15, so there are some days we get to play all morning, and some days we stay up late and play...When I get home at 9:15, I play w/her until 11:30, even 'though I'm really want to go to bed lol...Once in a while, I have to work open to close, and then I DO get someone to come by and spend some time w/her! It's such a busy world, everyone has their own busy schedules to deal with.... |
