| Another Newby Hi! I LOVE Yorkie Talk!!!! I am another new member. Actually, I have been lurking and reading for a while and decided it was about time I introduced myself. My name is Artie, I live in the High Desert in Southern Calif. My daughter also posts here, her screen name is "Suz" I don't own a Yorkie. I have an 11 year old Austrailian Cattle Dog. But I live with my daughter and son-in-law, and they have several. Suz raises Yorkies. I guess you would call her a "backyard breeder", except for the fact the only time the Yorkies go into the back yard is to do their business and to play. (Which is a lot! They do love to play!!) When Ginger and Cujo have their babies, it is in Sue and Steve's bedroom, in their whelping boxes that usually consist of big dog beds and lots of cozy blankets. So, that really isn't backyard breeding----it is bedroom breeding!! LOL I guess she isn't the usual run-of-the-mill breeder, either, in that the dogs sleep with us. Sometimes they start out on my bed and then move to theirs, or vice versa. When Sue and Steve go away, and I am here with the dogs, they are all on my bed. ("All" is different numbers, depending on how many puppies are left from a litter, or how many previously sold puppies are here for a "sleep-over" -which happens a lot. We have several who get us to "baby sit" when they go away.) Anyway, as I said, I love YorkieTalk. There are a lot of great people here who are so helpful to each other, and I have learned a lot in reading the posts. I also saw that someone recommended Joan Gordon's book "The Complete Yorkshire Terrier" which I got and really enjoyed. I plan to learn a lot more in the coming days! |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | welcome to YorkieTalk!!! Glad to have you here! Sounds like you have your hands full with your baby and your daughter's babies...btw...BYB isn't what I would want to be called. She sounds like she is a good breeder. BYBs will stick two dogs together without knowing what they are breeding...genetically speaking.

| Thanks! For the welcome. And I did say I thought she was more of a "bedroom breeder" since they are born in her bedroom! LOL |
