| Just Purchased a Pet Plan Pet Insurance for my girls. Wants opinion on dog insurance! So hubby and I finally decided to purchase an insurance plan for all my three girls. I picked the middle level silver plan. I did my research and decided on Pet Plan. Does anyone else have insurance? My girls are healthy but I want them to be well protected if something happens. It's a pretty chunky annual payment but we do get sibiling discounts and also a discount for having them microchipped. here's their levels of plan... Petplan's Flexible Dog Insurance Policies

| I have ASPCA pet insurance for Gus. No insurance for Squirt. He was too old when I learned about insurance last year. When it's time for renewal, I'll consider Pet Plan.

| Am I reading this right it says based on your vet not useual or customary? I had a plan for Milo and it was worth nothing because useual and customary is not the Tri-State Area. Do you know someone that has this plan cause it looks really good |

| I was considering ASPCA too but decided to go with Pet Plan. I just feel better knowing they are covered and I have one less thing to worry about. but i hope i don't have to use it anytime soon.

| i have a coworker that has this plan and she highly recommanded it. it is not the cheapest plan but i think it covers more than most other insurance policies.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I don't have it, but if I get it - THAT is the one I'm getting, PetPlan. It's the only one that will cover genetic/congenital issues (as long as they're not pre-existing), so that part of it is really amazing.

| yeah, that is the reason why I got it also. And silver plan reimburse 90% also. But for Emergency vet, specialist, or if i take them to University Medical center, they reimburse 80% which is not a bad deal either.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | From the research I did, Pet Plan fits our needs best. I especially like that we won't be getting the comment "* exceeded customary costs." As soon as we take possesson of our Yorkie, we will take out the plan. I consider it as necessary as insurance for us...it's one of those things I hope we never have to use but I want it available if we need it. I also liked the ability to choose our own deductibles and by so doing, in effect write our own coverage. |
