| Hi All Glad I found this, I love my baby...His name is Chilly and he is 4 years old. Hope I can figure out how this site works, I apologize up front if I make any mistakes. Chilly did not have allergy problems his first year but now I don't know what to do and am considering taking him to a Vet that specializies in dermatology, I just want him to be comfortable. Vet started him on a food trial, it's been well over a year of Royal Canine IVD Potato and Venison and many visits to the Vet where they want to keep giving him Cephalexin and antihistamines. I really don't want to continue so I believe it is not a food allergy, the skin iritation which is by his eyes and on his belly are red and his body becomes very warm, everything that vets have described works but then it just comes back. I know its not seasonal because if happens year round. I don't know what to do in regard to picking a food and how to treat my poor baby and that is when I found this..so any suggestions on food (i'm narrowing it down to Orijen, Wellness Core, EVO, Canidae or even Chicken soup. And any thoughts on seeing a dermatology specialist? I have been on the internet for about a week and I am on information over load. Thanks everyone. |
