How big do yorkies get? Can someone compare them to something thats about their height |
Yorkies differ greatly, so it's hard to say. The "standard" is 4-7 pounds, I believe. But I have a perfectly healthy boy at nearly 10 pounds at 5 months old. I've seen some breeders photos who place their pups next to Coca-Cola cans, etc for comparison to size. |
bottle of squash height here! :) |
4-7 lbs you are ok. Any smaller you may run into health issues. Any larger, well just more Yorkie to love....smile...Welcome to YT...... |
tucker at almost 6 months is 7 inches tall and 5 pounds, but hes not full yorkie. ive seen some really small yorkies and some pretty big ones, so it really does vary. |
1 Attachment(s) Layla is 6.4 lbs and here she is next to some ordinary things....I'd say if she stood up on this trolly- her back would be even with the suitcase that is on its side behind her. |
They vary quite a bit. One of ours is right around maybe a little under 2lbs. She is a TINY thing. Our other is just at maybe a few Ozs over 7lbs. 7lbs is still a small dog, but the tiny one can make him seem huge sometimes :) I'm not sure how tall they are though |
Jackson's almost 10 pounds at 5 months old! |
Laddy is 2lbs 7 oz at 5 months old they told us he would be 5 to 6 lbs but doesnt look like he is going to make it. He has been healthy though. |

Biggie is 2 and is just under 10 pounds. He is rather tall for a Yorkie according my vet. |
