I think cute dogs like yorkies and cute kids are wierdo magnets!!! I hate talking to strangers in public and either my dogs or my baby draws them near. I tell people she bites and that works with my dog but the baby always smiles or coos and that makes it worse and then they don't go away. Now she is learning how to wave...looking forward to the freaks that brings to the stroller...lol.

I don't like stranger coming up to Chance either, they always want her to lick them, on the hands or face, which you never know what they handled before hand

I agree that some people don't know about personal space. We once had an office employee that we hired and he would get right up into your face everytime he talked to you. Needless to say we did not keep him long. We later wondered if he couldn't see well, LOL

This is one reason I don't take my dogs to places. If I go to petsmart, I go by myself. It there are dogs in there, I will go up to them and pet them. I would never go as far as trying to take one out of someones arm, but, if you love dogs and they're out there, then I feel I have a right to pet them.
