| I am flying today! YIKES! Actually Im not really superstitious so Im ok with it! I hope your week next week is better than this week for you. Its been a LONG week for me and then we got some bad news at work yesterday, my pay is getting cut and we are being forced to take unpaid time off next quarter. UGH!

Ouch..... it's definitely times like this that I am really thankful I work for the state (University) and this doesn't usually happen to us. Although about a year ago or so they did close down a couple things and let those people go. Some of them got reassigned other jobs but there were a few that just got let go. That's pretty rare here though. I'll be thinking of you. Hope it all turns out okay.

| My birthday is tomorrow...sandwiched between Friday 13th and the Ides of March...a double curse. My fox terrier had surgery today for a recurrence of her tumours. She's in shaky condition, so most of my b'day will be spent nursing a dog recovering from surgery. Hubby is taking me out for a lunch at a restaurant perched on the rocks at the sea with a spectacular view of the bay and Table Mountain...and then it's back to my nursing duties. Fortunately, Puddin' and the Maltese Mafia are rolling along just fine, so it's only the old dog (she's 16) that I have to worry about.
