| Suitcase When yall go on a trip with your yorkie what do you pack there stuff in? We are driving 5 hours over to WV for 3 days and 2 nights and Callies suitcase I used for a longer trip is obvously to big. So I was looking for childrens suitcases at the store and all of a sudden its like they dont have them anymore, so I went online and then had a perfect little one that dosent roll and is a little suitcase well all I have found of these has said going to grandmas house and I dont really want it to say that. So I was wondering what everyone packs there yorkie's stuff in for a short trip?

| I've gotten nice 'suitcase' style cases at Hobby Lobby, Joann's, Ross, TJMax. I've also seen them at a few of the dog boutiques around here. Could you look in the purse area of stores.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Our Target has the little roller bags that don't say anything on them. I bought one of the small pop up pet carriers from Target made by Boots and Barkley. I has a shoulder strap and a small round plastic thing to store it in when it's collapsed. It's big enough to put the dog in but I just pack her stuff in it and it will hold alot if I need it to. We went on a two week road trip and she had plenty of everything.

| My Cousin made me a purse for Christmas. I use it to carry the babies clothes, food and grooming tools. We go on weekend trips all the time. It's the perfect size for her things I'm gonna have to have her make me another one for Milo's thing

| BAck packs work perfectly, you can get them in any size. as others have said there are lots of BIG purses out these days, you can also just buy a small gym typw bag with pockets on the ends.. I have one of each of these things for different lengths of stays. you can then out food, water, clothes, blankies and toys in one bag.. If you have a store called BIG LOTS, they have loads of these kinda bags. FYI .. I bought a beautiful YORKIE purse from Collectibles .com or similar that would work great to.. |

| My husband bought a kids colorful backpack for the boys stuff. The pockets are good to separate out things we need quickly when we're on the road. |

| I don't use suitcases but what I use are very handy! I'm not sure how to explain them. I got them at Target in the storage section for less then $10. Its a plastic box about 6-8 inches by 10-12 inches and has 3 seperate layers (about 3-4 inches high each) with a handle on top to carry it. The layers just connect to each other and unlatch if you want what's in one layer. I use one layer for a leash and harness plus their seatbelts. Another for a jacket or hoodie if its cold. And the bottom layer is PERFECT because it has 6 different compartments which I use for bows, medicine and treats. And if you don't want the compartments they come out so you can use it as another layer. I have 2. A pink one for Mitzy and a blue one for our Weimareiner. I'm not sure if I got the dimensions right (i guesstimated) they are so roomy to fit everything but small enough to travel and carry. I love them and highly recomend them. Easy to clean, durable and super cute! You could even decorate them yourself with your pups name and such if you wanted

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I bought a tote-like bag I really like from L.L. Bean. It has lots of pockets and such. What first attracted me to it was that you can get it with the Yorkshire Terrier breed embroidered on it. (I also had her name put on it since tote bags are a "weakness" of mine and I could easily show my husband how this one wasn't mine...LOL) He collects T-shirts from trips; I collect tote bags. (Of course, I could have used any that I already had but I had such a good excuse...LOL) By the way, I think I discovered this bag by accident. I was going to the LL Bean site to get one of their regular tote bags and just happened to find this treasure. (Personally, I prefer the puppy-cut look on Yorkie people items but it's because ours will never have the longer coat.) I also found a grooming bag with lots of pockets for stuff that looked interesting. I've forgotten what pet catalog I saw that in but it was definitely online. Probably a "pet grooming bag" search would turn it up. There are such cute things out there for Yorkies (and pets in general). I had no idea! |
