| How old is she? It's not uncommon for dogs, especially puppies, to eat their own poo. It's learned behavior, as mommy dogs often eat up the poo of their puppies to keep their space clean. It won't make her sick, so don't worry. It might give her awful breath, though.

| That's normal. You can try giving her pineapple, meat tenderizer, Forbid or SEP by Solid Gold to make it unappealing to her.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Ruby would do this as a puppy, she did stop as she got older. The link is a very good article that discusses why they do it and how to get them to stop. Stopping Dogs From Eating Poop

| My son gave his 2 pineapple and potty mouth(you can buy it at pet stores and also TSC). As long as they were on it, it worked for him I tried the meat tenderizer once a long time ago, for mine it didn't work. I don't think they really know the real reason why some dogs do this and some don't, they just speculate. I would suggest, if you don't already do this, is to leave a radio or tv on while you're at work, that seems to help them not to feel alone |
