Yes...Puddin' is 11 weeks today and while she is getting the hang of using the pad we still have mishaps. She started sleeping in the bed every night about 10 days ago as she kept waking up about 4 or 5 am from being cold (her room has ceramic tile floors).


I made her some diapers with velcro closures and she wears those when she is on my bed "just in case." So far, so good!

Her preferred place to sleep is on one of her fleece blankies tossed over the extra pillows above my head. This morning she needed to use her pad so she walked on my face and woke me up just before the alarm went off.

I am amazed at how smart these little dogs are!

I find that when you have them sleep with you, they don't go to the bathroom in the bed anyway. They don't pee where they sleep. So I have done that with every dog that I have ever owned. My labs and my rottie and my yorkies. NEVER HAD ANYTHING in my bed!

Poppy always taps on the side of our bed around 3am to wake me and lift her up. She immediately beds down between us with her head on the pillow, her body fully stretched out under the covers (just like us) She stays there for around 1/2 an hour then gets too hot and moves onto the top of the covers at the bottom of the bed. After about another 1/2 hour she wakes again to creep back to the top along my side and climbs back under the covers. This happens most nights, sometimes she wakes me 2 or 3 times a night to get up and down from the bed and has done ever since we have had her. Needless to say my partner NEVER wakes up!! LOL
