My Chloe is only 2 1/2 months old and only the top of her head is changing, but it's turning silver. The rest of her body is still black/tan.

Curly has different coloring than most Yorkies I've seen so I'm not sure what we can expect in color changes. She has an all black muzzle, in fact her whole face, except a very light reddish mask around her eyes, is black. She is definitely getting grey on top of her head now though. She is 15 weeks and about a week ago, her hair parted on her head and sorta fell flat and her roots were grey. If you look real closely, you can see more of the reddish/tan coming in on her face now.
I'm no help am I? lol sorry.

Twinkle had silvery roots on her head at 12 weeks.....she's 8 months now and is a blondey colour on her chest legs and face, and silvery grey on her back. She has full tail which is mostly black with a bit of the blonde and silver streaks - it's really weird! xxx

So did Tobie... the top of his head has turned mostly silver and the roots on his back are silver. I didn't want him to change either but now that I see it, I love they way the silver shines - especially against the golden/tan color.

My girls both turned white/grey on the tops of their heads very early-just 2-3 months. They are 5 1/2 months now and they have about 1/4 -1/2 inch grey roots on their backs.

I think Gracie's started to change around 4-6 months. Holly is just over a year old and hers has not changed yet.

chester started changing around 8 months or so, he turned silver on the head and now he is tan on feet, head and legs and his body is getting more silver and some small spots of tan
