I've had this girl who posts rude comments on my blog attacking me from time to time. Well, her most recent comment was after I posted pictures of Missy in some new clothes, and she said "I feel sorry for dogs who are made to wear clothes". I think it was rude of her to write this to me. It's my blog, and if she doesn't have anything nice to say, she shouldn't say anything at all! Especially if she has no knowledge of the breed.

So, I posted today on my blog addressing her comment, I'm inviting any of you Yorkie lovers who are bored to wander over to my blog and post a comment under todays post backing up my theory of *it's OK to dress your Yorkie*. You can do it anonymously. It's a weight loss blog, but I do discuss other things, such as my new little love Missy, and my cake decorating skills. I address her comment in the second paragraph of todays posting, right below the pics you will see a link to where you can post a comment if you'd like. Your comment won't show up immediately because I will have to approve it. I will check back in awhile.

Thanks everyone. I get so annoyed with people who judge those of us who dress up our dogs. If I didn't dress Missy, she would be hovering over the heat vent shivering all day. I couldn't imagine taking her outside without clothes ever! She still shivers even with 2 layers on and me cuddling her in my jacket. Jay Leno always makes a big deal of people dressing up their dogs. He says it's one of his biggest peeves.

Don't mind the haters. As people have been saying above... sounds like jealousy to me. Eff 'em. Your baby is happy, and smiling and cute as a button.

As I said on my blog, forcing a German Shephard or a Rottweiler to wear a sweater when they hate it may be a bit ridiculous. But when my Little Missy is huddled over the heater vent *shivering* her butt off...I know it's time to put some clothes on her. :rolleyes:

Yah know? I wouldn't normally rant like that on my blog..but I'm really getting sick of being ridiculed about every little thing that has to do with Missy. People make fun of me for homecooking for her, they put me down for tying her hair up. I get trashed for dressing her up. Even my "friends" are calling me "nuts" and a "nutjob", and these are CLOSE friends of mine! I just don't see the big deal.

It's ok for him to drive to work every day in a different car while other's
can only afford one! That's a pet peeve of mine!
He spends his money the way he likes, let other's do the same.

I hear that dressing our babies is cruel from so many people. Bonnie Hunt even stated so on her show. Our little babies freeze their little buns off. I try not to take offense because these people are ignorant. They don't own yorkies or other small dogs...so they have no clue!!! They don't live in cold damp climates. I live in the mountains of AZ and we have four seasons. My house is drafty. They need a little extra warmth!!! Their coats are so silky fine....

So ignore what people say!!!

I didn't say I agreed with him I just know alot of people watch him and heard him say that. Anyway, my Yorkie has hoodies, sweaters, a parka and PJ's. I've never been able to get PJ's that fit right so she doesn't wear those. When we lived in the desert in AZ our 50 pound dog used to shiver sometimes so I put sweatshirts on her at night. She liked to sleep in her dog house at night and it would get cold.

Thank you very much! Yes I know that I have to learn to ignore the comments, and I have been up until now. I think this comment today was the LAST straw for me. This girl and I had a falling out about a year ago, and I can't understand for the life of me why she continues to read my blog, let along has the guts to comment on it. I think it's just to rub it in my face that she's still reading about me. Creepy!

Another comment that REALLY irks me, and my own Mother says this to me is, "she's JUST a dog Shaunna". That one really grates on my nerves. None of my dogs have ever been considered "just a dog to me". They are babies and are treated just as well as my skin kids are. Some people just don't get it. My Mom thought I was absolutely INSANE for paying $3,500 to fix Missy's leg. She felt that Missy should have just been put to sleep because she's a puppy, and she said that's what she would have done for her own dog (a gorgeous boxer). I feel people like that don't deserve to own pets. The only way that I could even forgive that comment is because she is the one who lent me the money to do the surgery.

Phew, I'm really letting lose here with my pent up anger. I'm normally so positive. I guess every once in awhile, I just gotta let it out after biting my tongue for so long. Sorry guys! :rolleyes:

Girl...everyone on here knows, they are just NOT dogs to us, they are a huge part of our life and give us unexplainable happiness. I don't blame you for being ticked about someone hating on you...drives me nuts when people think they are smarter and try to compete with sassy remarks!! She needs to GROW UP and be happy with yourself enough not to be rude to others!!

What type of weight loss plan are you doing? I started Weight Watchers a few days ago.

I always ignore people who don't have anything nice to say... they need a lesson or two in manners.

I could set my blog to "Private" but then any person who wants to read it would have to send an application to me. I get anywhere between 1-200 readers per day. My blog helps alot of people who struggle with weight loss, and has been featured in many articles such as this Toronto Star Article (the print version had photos). I like to keep it easily accessible so that other people who struggle with weight can realize that they can do what I did. :) I just wish that she'd take the hint and get lost, or at least quit commenting. I don't read her blog!

You said you had a falling out with her so I bet she knows how attached you are to your little one, so she is using that to push your button. If your react to it she gets satisfaction, if you don't she goes away or turns up the heat till you do react. Stay strong and ignore her, if you don't react we hope she gets bored and goes away.

I do Weight Watchers Online. I lost 144 lbs in exactly 1 yr, and I've kept it off for 2 yrs come May. :)

Which is probably another reason why she's jealous. She's been unsuccessful on WW for many yrs now.

The site is acting a bit weird today.

Slightly off-topic, but I was walking Thor in the rain the other day. He has an orange rain coat and matching orange booties. I had kind of hoped that a good coat and boots would help Thor hate walking in the rain less, but no, the poor dog was utterly miserable. The rain coat is long enough to cover his tail, and his head was down, entirely covered by the hood. Someone told me it looked like I was walking a plastic bag.

I think you have done great with your weightloss, and your baby loks fab , just forget about some losers comments.:D
