I can't figure out how to get to your blog but someone left me a nasty visitor message about 6 months after I had vented about Baxter driving me nuts. Some folks have no sense of humor, irony or just letting people be. I wish Baxter would tolerate clothes. So I say dress them up as much as they will tolerate! |
I love to dress my dog. Reasons being I like him looking cute in them and he needs clothes otherwise he shivers and I can't stand seeing any animals nor human shivering in cold. It reminds me of my first winter in Canada and I just can't stand it so my baby wears clothes and jackets and jammies when he needs to. |
People like that are just jealous:( probably wishing they had a sweet little doll like Missy to dressup:p |
I left comments on both posts. If someone doesn't want to dress their dog, that's fine with me but I can't stand people who think they can tell you not to dress your dog. I just ignore ignorant people. |

Supported you on your blog. You are one determined young woman. An inspiration. |
Just checked out your blog site. You LOOK so good!!! And it's nobodies biz if you want to dress up your furbaby. Probably jealous that Missy has a better wardrobe than her..:D |
I personally don't dress up my dog. 1) because he will not allow it. I bought him a little jacket when I first got him, thinking he was gonna be super tiny and be cold all the time... nope. All 9 pounds of him stays out in the snow for 30 minutes-an hour without even breaking a shiver, lol. And when I put the jacket on him, he just froze and stood there. I figure if he's not cold and doesn't want to, I'm not going to. Plus, it's just not really my thing. 2) because it would break my bank even more with having to buy clothes, lol. That said, I have absolutely nothing against people who dress up their dogs. It can be cute and some people enjoy it! That's fine. However, I do feel like SOME people go a little overboard. But so be it. |
Oh, and congrats on the weight loss! You look amazing! |
Wow Can't really comment on the dressing up our pooches as I really never do.... However, she is an adorable little girl. Your photos are great, as I know exactly how many you have to take to get a few good ones. She seems like a real camera bug! You look absolutely great! Kudos to you for taking charge. Weight can be such a struggle that many never really understand. Lastly, I'm a bit of an amateur cake decorator my self (just having completed a Bakugan Cake that took forever! Your cakes are awesome! Loved the "slumber party cake". I've been asked to do a 2yr old birthday and a shower in may and I may have to hit you up for some tips! Love your background graphics too... |
I didn't even quote her properly I was so upset. What she actually said in her comment was "Cute ... but I do feel bad for dogs that are made to wear clothes. That's not what they're meant for ... they aren't dolls!" EH-HEM, excuse me? Missy is a TOTAL doll :D Quote:

You look amazing ! I'm very impressed !! As for the girl feeling bad for Missy because you dress her up...please , she's an idiot. She just needs something to focus her negativity on and unfortunately she stumbled onto your site to do it. Some people are just always with the negative waves :p Don't let her bother you.[Most] People with little ones understand why we dress our babies . It's the same as people who don't have children trying to tell you the best way to handle yours  ignore her! :) I also love cake decorating ! Your really good at it ! My son and I bought a book and a kit and we had fun trying to do paste flowers (well they were suppose to look like flowers , but we are not that good yet :p) I may try a class someday , it's soooo fun !! |

As far as cake decorating, you should try the Wilton Courses if you ever get the chance. I took all of them and I really had fun. Wilton keeps calling me asking me if I'll become an instructor, but I just don't have time. Maybe one day...:) |
My computer ( or this site) went wacky and I couldn't add my other comments...I wanted to say I love the Betty Boop and Spiderman cakes you did! They are all great but since I LOVE Betty Boop , I really liked that one !! :D |

Thanks for the cake compliments. I loved making both of those cakes. It takes hrs and hrs, but it's so much fun when you're doing a cool design and not something boring, like flowers. :p I can't wait to try a Yorkie cake. I already have a design saved on my computer. |
Wow!!! I checked out your blog. YOU BOTH LOOK AMAZING!!!! You lost all that weight with weight watchers online? I must check that out. I put on 40 lbs after gallbladder surgery and I can't get it off! You may or may not want to approve my response rofl...it will likely p*ss her off ;) |

Yep, I lost the weight using weight watchers online. I was really, really super determined though. I had a wake up moment one day, and I think I would have lost the weight regardless of how I decided to do it. I do feel that WW is a fantastic program though, and seeing as I've been on maintenance for 2 yrs now, it really is something that you can stick with long term. Good Luck to you! |
Hey! I have read your blog before! Great job on the weight loss! I'm a weight loss blog junkie. lol I'm also a fellow reader of Roni's. I'll have to go comment over there. Your cakes are amazing! Are you ever tempted to eat icing while you are decorating? I think that would be my downfall. lol I haven't been as successful as you, and I'm not a faithful blogger, but here is my link, if I ever decide to start back regularly. Measuring My Weigh |

I apologize. It isn't much to read. I'm one of those on again/off again dieters and dealing with PCOS. At least you get a little more insight on who I am. ;) |

Thanks. Yeah. I added that feature after I lost a lot of readers from lack of blogging. lol Thanks for the accountability offer! I know WW'ers upside and down, but unless I apply it, it won't do me any good. :( I know what I need to do. I just need to get my heart and mind into it. You are an awesome inspiration though! |

*sighhhhh* Ok, well not to be dramatic, but she posted ANOTHER comment on my blog. I am not giving her the satisfaction of approving this one to be displayed. It has bad language, and I know that some young girls and teens read my blog. I will share with all of you though, since it is focused towards myself and all of you who were nice enough to post comments supporting me today on my blog. This is what she wrote... Why don’t you all get off your high horses…I don’t need to research because my parents have a small smiliar dog. There is a difference between dressing them in something to keep them warm, and dressing them up like dolls. Also it’s not like I’m the only person who thinks that dressing your animal up in doll clothes is not too nice. You say your dog LIKES it…so what, your dog talks to you? Okay! Shaunna, I know you have a problem with me, you have ever since the Facebook issue. If you want to attack me then fine…I was just stating my opinion, but I guess that isn’t allowed. You only want people commenting if they are saying what you want to hear. As for your little crew…don’t even try to say that I don’t love animals or anything like that. I have animals of my own whom I treat like my children. I’m so sorry again for posting something that wasn’t what you wanted to hear. Also, you guys should really do some research yourself, there are proven studies that people who dress their animals up for show are a little bit **cked in the head. Not saying any of you are…but you get my point! Also, feel free to bash me as much as you like…I’m done with you and your childish ways. Ok, her animals are two cats that she dumps on her parents when she can't take care of them. Also, who is the one being immature? I'm not going out of my way to read or post mean comments on her blog. I still haven't, even after all of this. I've finally had enough after putting up with her commenting on my blog for a year now, all the while knowing full well that I want nothing to do with her! I really wish there was a way to block individual readers from accessing your blog on that site. It's either public or private though, no in between. I won't set my blog to private because of an issues with ONE person in three years time. It's silly! I'll just have to ignore her I guess, and put this all behind me. I'm just glad that I have all of you to make me feel that I'm not completely nuts for loving my Missy enough to keep her warm. Thank you! P.S. The "issue" that we had was her constantly deleting and re-adding me on Facebook for no reason. She's not a real life friend, but she is someone that I chatted with on messenger sometimes and I use to purchase her paintings. She's just weird and wants to be friends one minute and not the next, so I decided to ditch that friendship. |

I am just going to ignore her, which I have been doing up until now and will continue to do. The only time I acknowledged her was that comment today. I've just had enough of being critisized for taking care of my Missy. One of my bestfriends today called me "nuts" and a "nutjob" for dressing her. Why is dressing a dog such a big deal? My very manly Dh doesn't even mind it. He thinks it's cute and understands she needs clothes to stay warm. Anyways, I'll quit going on and on and on...I'm sure it's getting menotenous for some of you. I apologize if it is. I guess my feelings were just hurt. |
oh lord. How old is this girl. 14? Just ignore her. BTW. Congrats!! You look awesome! Your baby girl is so freaking cute and I love her clothes! |
