Winston is eight, never neutered, nor bred. He was potty trained to go outside when he was three, never had an issue with him marking in the house thank god |
Cujo, my younger twin sisters' little Yorkie, was paper trained by 6 months of age and started marking outside only when he was like 4.5 months old. He was an early learner! He is 3 years old now neutered at 6 months old, and still only marks outside and not in the house. He never even tried to mark in the house! Thank goodness! |
charlie is 6 months..outside potty train..he marks outside |
Max is 2 and has never marked. He is wee wee pad trained, and was at 5 neutered months :) |
Harley is 9 months old and neutered at 6 months and has not marked in the house, thank goodness:DHe is outside potty trained and peepad trained when no one is home:thumbup: |
you guys are so lucky, teddy pees everywhere! its def. a problem! |
mikey is 2 and is pee pad trained also gos outside if we are walking but does not like the outdoors , does not ever lift his leg and no marking in house .neutered at 20 months old he is very small only 3lbs ,but while i was training him i used belly bands and they worked for us .now that is is 100% house trained we never need them . i made my own belly bands with scrap material and velcro they go around the waist and if hes going to pee it will be on himself .dont give up how old is your little guy? |
Moose is 2 1/2 years old. He goes outside to potty. He doesn't mark at all in the house. He just started marking (only when we are on walks) when he was about two years old. He only lifts his leg to pee, when we are NOT in our yard! He was neutered when he was 5 months. |
Joey doesn't mark in our house either, but when we visit others, he wears a band, and there is evidence that he tried to mark. The hormone testosterone is responsible for marking. The testes make the bulk of testosterone, and if neutered earlier enough, some dogs never mark. The adrenal glands make some testosterone, and the amount varies in dogs, and some female's adrenal glands make enough testosterone for them to mark as well. Also, a dog who has never marked might start marking because another dog entered its life, and this event caused the adrenal glands to make more testosterone. While Joey never marks inside, he is a marking machine when we go on walks, and I think this can cut down on a dog wanting to mark inside the house. |
Rylie never marks inside. He was a little over a year when he was neutered. However he will pee inside..and i don't mean marking...I mean actual peeing. He will mark outside, but actually Lacy is much worse about marking outside LOL. She will even lift her leg |
