New Yorkie brother for Eddie???
 
So I was at the dog boutique yesterday and mentioned to the owner, a friend, that we would eventually like to ad a female Yorkie rescue to our pack. She said she has an uncanny ability to find dogs for people.

Just now, I got an e-mail from her saying a couple women walked into her shop today and said they were looking for a home for a 2-3 year-old male whose owner, an elderly man, died Sunday. She asked them to send pictures and said she'd forward them to me.

Even though my wife is set on a girl, my heart leaped a little bit. How strange that I lose an elderly Yorkie and a young Yorkie loses an elderly owner. Maybe this little guy and I could help each other.

I skeptically sent my wife the e-mail explaining the situation, and her first word was ... YES! She, too was moved by the little guy's plight.

It's definitely not a done deal. I do want to see the pictures and speak with the woman about the Yorkie's health, etc.

Just thought you guys might want the inside scoop! I'll post pictures here if and when I get them.

That's great! You should get the little guy!

But I don't get the connection. :confused: You just lost an elderly dog, and a young dog just lost their elderly owner... I see the elderly connection, but who's the new young owner? haha :D :p ;)

:D That's so great. This poor little guy is probably so upset over his loss, and you with your's...It's a match made in Heaven. I sincerely hope everything works out and you have a new family member soon. Such a heart warming story!!!!:p

:) I've been waiting for this thread. You can't have two of them and then not have two of them. You have to get more - it's just a given. I think it may be a law - somewhere.:rolleyes: And three is always better than one or two. And maybe four is even better than three!:D Ya know two boys and two girls?! And Rusty is the lookout brother so maybe one day he'll need a lookout sister? We could just keep goin' here......

Mike, I hope this works out well for you and and Kelly. It almost seems meant to be.:)

Thanks for the thoughts, you guys. I just realized I have no idea where this Yorkie is from. The note from the shop owner said they'd be willing to pay transportation costs. I hope it's from Alaska. I'd hate to think of the poor guy being shipped.

Mike,

I think the Yorkies owner that passed away probably met up with Jack at the Bridge, and Jack is sending you and Kelly this little guy.

Nothing ever happens, by chance.

I am so excited for everyone involved - it sounds like a full circle.

I can't imagine a better forever and always home than you and Kelly. Will be watching this thread closely for updates and pics.

I too believe in fate...things do happen for a reason...and if it's meant to be, it will be. I can just see Jack and the elderly man together now...and you and the young dog together soon. Thinking only good thoughts...if wishes came true...they would happen for you, you and Kelly deserve this...

OH MIKE!!! How Wonderful! How perfect for you both! I hope this works out for you guys!

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed and hope that the dog is in good health AND in Alaska!
