| Smelly Dog areas What products do you use to keep your dogs spaces clean and smelly free?? We have an air freshener in Gracie's room but it doesn't seem to do the trick. (especially when she has peed on the pad in there. Then it stinks worse!) |

| Mine sleep in their kennels with a washable pad and fuzzy bed in each of them...plus we use washable potty pads. I pick up the used pads 2 or 3 times a day and wash a load once a day with hot water, laundry soap and bleach, I wash their beds every 3rd day and I clean their kennel trays with bleach water at least once a week. I move their kennels out and clean under them too. I make sure they all get a bath every other week and freshened up in between if needed. I also wash their toys every week...they can get quite smelly after being chewed on for a while. I use stainless steel or Correlle French White food and water bowls and wash them once a day, I also use a washable pad under their water bowl so it can't spill and absorb odors into the floor. We have laminate floors that show paw prints pretty easily so we mop every other day with hot bleach water...but...I did just buy a steam mop so we'll see how that works. Keeping this routine works for us and, even with puppies, you would never know we have dogs in our home until you hear or see them. We also have a huge front deck that is wood so we spray it down once a week with bleach water and hose it off...we also spray during the week if needed.
