| Why did he do it? Please help. My friend was coming over with her new 7 week old baby. My two babies, love when people come and they jump all over every one... So knowing this, I put them in my bedroom. ( I do this when we have a house full of company or in this case a baby who's seat will be on the floor.) We too the baby for a walk, and I let the dogs out while we were gone. I told my friend I would put them back when we got home before she came in. When we got back, she said just leave them out it will be fine. I'll hold the baby. As soon as we walked in the house Chewy my male nipped her leg! She bruses easily and she got a black and blue mark on her leg! I was mortified... and I was really concerned because we can't have him nipping people. He was very excited when he did it. Today we had friend come over and I held Chewy while my friend came in. Then I let him go after calm talking to him, and he was fine, calm, sweet, no problem. Any one have any ideas why this would happen. Maybe because he was put in my room for a while? I have done this before. HELP!

| it is such a horrible feeling when our babies act in a way they don't normally. He could have been confused by the baby- babies smell different and cry and he could have been confused by you holding the baby- he probably should have had the opprotunity to smell the baby or its blanket. I'm sure it won't happen again if he gets the chance to meet a baby first. |

| Maybe it was jealousy? My guys get really jealous if I ooh and aah over anything but them. For some reason Mac my 2yr does not like children. I have tried really hard to socialize him but he still will not warm to any small children.(the crying, squealing, laughing loud make him shake with fear) He has not nipped, but I am always afraid that he might..Maybe next time they visit make a big deal out of showing him the baby when they first get there.. My friends Yorkie nips her on the butt everytime she comes in from outside.....really Ive seen it.. its like his hello...he gets all excited and nips her on the rear!!..And only her!
