If the call was a prank, then the person is really sick in the head to do something like that. I'm hoping that the person who contacted you truly know where Yoshi is, b/c at least you have a lead. If you contact the police, they may be able to find the caller's address based on the phone number. I'm praying for Yoshi's safe return. |
Why so many negative thoughts about this bieng a prank?!?! Let's think POSITIVE, here!!!! We want Yoshi home with his mama!!!! |
Just checking in to see if Yoshi is back home. I hope the call wasn't a sick joke. There are so many reasons to believe it was, but I don't want to think about someone being so cruel, so I'll pray that he's safe, warm, and will be home soon. |
We're just checking in, also. We're saying prayers for Yoshi's safe return. Sending you lots of hugs! |
Ive been checkin in often, hoping to hear some good news. :(. I will continue to keep Yoshi in my thougts and prayers. ((hugs)) I also lit another candle. |
So sad to read this I just got up to date. I lit a candle, and will keep you and Yoshi in my prayers. |
Just lit another candle for little Yoshi's safe return. We are all soooo worried about him. He needs to be home. Maybe the person just didn't feel comfortable giving the friends number out. Think positive!!! |
I haven't checked this in a day or so and I was hoping after seeing so many messages that the end would be good........this really sucks that you have not found him. Maybe the caller does have him, and just used the phone of someone else. Good luck................. |
I am praying every day for Yoshi's safe return. I really hope that the call you got can some how lead youto him and he can come home. |
I am praying for you're baby to come home!! |
The police have books and books of every phone # with the address to go with it. I used to take crime reports and have seen them. If you get the right person (an animal lover) they might give you the address. I would have! |
PS I would call back and say "please let your friend know that this dog needs heart medication every day" and you are offering a "cash reward" for his safe return. |
I have been out all weekend and just saw this post. I am so sorry to hear that he is missing. I am keeping him in my prayers and thoughts. I just know some nice soul out there is going to find him and get him back to you. Your probably already have,,,, but check with animal control in your area. |
Yoshi still isn't home....oh my goodness  I have been thinking about him and praying for his safe return girl :hands: Please keep us posted  |
Do a "reverse lookup" on the telephone number: Free Reverse Lookup | WhitePages Enter the telephone number, and it will give you the address, provided the number is not unlisted. I hope you find Yoshi. I know you are devastated. |

If you can get the cell phone number via PM for me I can look it up and see if I can get the carrier for it and you can take that with you to the police. Or you can try and google it to get the carrier... that is all I can think of to track them. I strongly believe that they do have Yoshi and perhaps do not want to return him.. but maybe a concerned or unknowing family member had initially called you. This is sad either way.. that people can find a beloved pet and attempt at concealing or keeping it!!! Adrianna Quote:

Can you afford to offer a reward? I wonder if perhaps that's why the person called you. It's possible that they didn't want to confirm that they have Yoshi until they knew they were getting some money - otherwise they would be legally obligated to return him to you, reward or not. If you're not still doing so, I would keep checking with local shelters. If this family has him, they may decide simply to give him up. It's unfortunately also possible that they were not being truthful, or they may have found a dog that wasn't Yoshi. There are a lot of services on the internet that will provide an address and name for a given phone number. It's usually a $25 fee. It's not always accurate, but you may be able to get more information that way. |
Another thought...perhaps if you mention that Yoshi has mutliple health problems (i.e., heart condition in which he needs his meds, etc., etc., etc...and he will need surgery very soon for liver shunt, etc..). It would make it less desirable for the person to keep Yoshi, b/c I'm sure they don't want to deal with the expensive medical bill...even though none of this is true. I think someone else earlier had posted this suggestion as well... |
I think there is a way to look up cell phone numbers on line. There is a charge for this service. My employer can look up unlisted phone numbers, and property liens, all sort of stuff. If you want to pm me with the number and I will run it through our data base. Its worth a try. |
What a turn for everyting to take , 1st phoning you and then saying they dont have him. I hope you get to the bottom of it all. If i was a prank it is a serious one, but like others maybe they are trying to get some money from you.....either way it is not very nice. Hopefully it is some kind of misunderstanding and they have hiim here's hoping that you will have him back safe and sound. |
oh so sorry to hear they havent called back yet but hopefully soon they will. Especially now you mention to them you will be going to the police if they dont. I'll be lighting up some candles for yoshi. I hope they call back very very soon. |
Dear Lord:( I just now seen this, so sorry that you have to go through this, praying that everything turn out fine, and you can have your furbaby back in no time:hands::aimeeyork |
Just looking in for an update. Hang in there . Still praying. |

You poor thing! I can't believe some people are just so rude and don't care about anyone else but themselves. Hang in there! I am praying for you and your baby. |
I am still praying for his safe return..I just can't believe those girls have the nerve to do phone prank on them..I seriously would make sure that the police will show up at their door steps. |

That's absolutely horrible! Don't worry, a little thing called Karma will come back and get them. So are you going to call the cops on her? |
How is that in any way funny? AGH. I hope she understands one day what a HORRIBLE thing that was to do. I still wonder if maybe she does have the dog, and is now saying she doesn't have it to get you to back off... I would still try to find her name and address. Did she sound very young? Like, young enough to still live with her parents? |
