that's the part where i'm having problems is the saving. i have an album and clicked on the image i wanted but I can't figure out where to save?

At the very bottom of the "customize profile" page, there is a button that says "Save Changes". Just hit this, and you will be all set! You can test it too by hitting the "Preview" button.

It's very nice of you to offer your help !!!!!!! I'm trying to upload my 1st ever picture to the site & I get the following:

You are allowed a maximum of 2048000 bytes of diskspace. If you would like to upload more images, please delete some of your older images and/or optimize your images using lower quality jpg settings before uploading.

What gives ?

You may need to resize your images. You can use the site I gave a few posts up to resize your images and makes them smaller.

Hi! This may be silly, but you know when you go to a members profile and they have a large picture next to their name. How do i get one of those, or do i have one and just cant view it. :D

Click on UserCP (blue bar all the way to the left) Then click "Edit Profile Picture" on the left and upload your pic there.

It looks like you just have the background under "Main" background image. I also put my background under "Primary Content Areas".

There are detail instructions on just about anything that you would want to know how to do with pictures, profile, uploading, you name it! There is even a link for a free download of Photoscape and how to use that to resize pictures and make avatars. Kind of like one stop YT shopping. If you have a question about any one of the questions there is always someone to answer your questions too!

There is also a club that was formed call Profile Fanatics. Lots of tips and suggestions can be found there too.

This was a great idea to post a nice welcome to new members Xmasbaby :)

hi there. im having the same problem. i managed to do everything else accept the backround? i cant seem to find the little yellow icon u mention. therefor i cant get my albums up to choose any pictures..any info will be greatly apprieciated..lol..its driving me nuts.x

Well, assuming you have created a new album, and uploaded your background pic there, then you just have to go to your profile page and click "Customize Profile" -- I copied a small piece of that page so you can see the yellow icon I was talking about. (it's right next to background image)

Sorry, it won't let me do a screen print!

Read post 3 of this thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ake-album.html You need to change you albums to "profile" instead of "public" if you want the little yellow icon to show up, and make it easier to change your page. Otherwise, you have to do it the old-fashioned way, and click on the picture, and copy the "url" address, and paste it in the appropriate space. It's much easier to just change the album to profile and have those choices automatically come up. Remember it's not the title of the album you are changing, but the "type" of album .


Also it's good to put all you wallpaper in one album, unless you really do become a fanatic, and then you'll want a profile album for each holiday. :D

yes pleeze ive been everywhere in edit profile.. but i cant seem to figure out how to add music! i bet its really simple though..lol..any advice would be great b4 i go KRAZY.............lol :)

you basically have to go on youtube and find the music video you want to be your background music- then good look at this thread

Hello everyone. I am pretty new to the forum. I am still trying to figure things out. I have a 1 year old Yorkie named Coco. I am a first time yorkie owner so this site has helped out a lot so far. My name is Cindy. I just tried to make a avatar so this is my first post to see if it worked. Wish me luck:D. I'm not the best with computers:mad:
