Well I have another Truman update! He is looking better and getting stronger too. Today, he has eaten 2 entire bowls of food, taken him medicine and went outside to potty a few times. He's not coughing as much as he has in the past so I think his meds are really starting to work for he. He actually wagged is tail at me.:D I think he is making the turn in the right direction! :animal36

How exciting is it to hear that Truman's meds are kicking in and that he is feeling better.

I know! It made me smile from ear to ear! :D Plus, my son just came out of his room with an empty bag of treat. So he is really starting to eat more too!:p

You, your husband and your son are total angels!! Thank you so much for taking such good care of Truman!! I love his new bed and collar!!

It is a joy to see Truman improving each day. I feel honored to be his foster mommy and have him with us. Being a foster mom has allowed my children to learn about how people treat animals and helping to bring this little guy back from a certain death in that cold and cruel shelter. My oldest son looked at Truman and said~why is he so sick didn't his owner ever take him to the vet? It just amazed me that because of the way we take care of our it never occured to him that everyone didn't also do the same. :(

It is a rude awakening when you see what happens.

You are giving your children an invaluable lesson. They will always carry that with them.

We can set the examples and pray that each generation will improve upon the next in terms of animal care.

Thanks for the Truman update! I hope he continues to fly through his recovery!!!

Your son souinds like a very caring person, you have a wonderful family. I am so glad that Truman is eating, he must think he is already in Heaven. I just know he is going to be gorgeous when he is filled out!

Beside wanting to help one of the reasons that I decided to volunteer was to lead by my example. I am so glad that it seems to be working. :)

Truman is really coming along! I do think he must think it is heaven here. He had another bath and trimming this afternoon. :p No more stinky matted Truman. I just wish he would stop coughing so that he could have a real grooming. It's kind of like when you are in public and the person next to you is hacking their brains out, I don't want people to look at my little man like he is contagious. Even though I know he is not. He isn't coughing like he was when he first came home but he still has coughing spells. Since he is about half way finished with he medicine I am hoping that he will be making that visit to the groomer by the end of the week.

Thanks for the info. I brush my Yorkie's teeth everyday. I am sure he can get infections like us humans, right~? He has a few double teeth, but I never had them pulled. There isn't any issues to get them pulled I don't feel since he's not acting like they hurt. He chews and plays ball, and hold that ball so tight when we play.
