I wish she had contacted me again. I could have at least driven over there and brought him back to the farm for a day or so. A little farm life would have done him good. |

Gamfa...you were going to have him herding cows..weren't you?:p Does anyone know megansmama's address....I really meant it about send her $$$. How many hours did that girl have to drive??? I hope that youngin' behaved himself for her. Did she drive alone? |
1 Attachment(s) Her son went with her. The little pup is fine....very thin and dirty and does have some leg issues. I am thinking it might be similar to a condition we had with another. With him, it was muscle contractures that he was born with....the legs did not bend. From Jodi's description, this little one might have the same thing. We will wait and see what the vet says...she is taking him tomorrow. Here is the pic she sent from her cell...as you can see, he is in need of grooming..she said he keeps his little head held down..poor little man is probably terrified. I am SO glad he is with her! Megan said he looks like a muppet...hahah...so I am calling him that until Jodi gives him a name. Here's Muppet :D.... Attachment 264869 |
Thank God she got him!! Bless her heart. |
I'm SO glad she got him in time! I think muppet is a perfect name...:animal-pa |

Now picture this. I'm 60 yrs old, 6' 4" 225 lbs, drive a 2000 Ford Super Duty, Extended Cab, 4x4, Dually with a diesel engine. When she is with me (it happens to be her favorite ride) and I pull into the tractor dealership and her little face pops up over the passengers side window, you can imagine the looks on the other fellows faces. They really get a kick out of her. It doesn't make any difference where I go, be it the hardware store, feed store, gas station or grocery store, if she's not with me, everyone wants to know if she is ok and why isn't along. Dogs and cats are very much a part of life in the farm lands. Many, many have come through this place in the 40 years my wife and I had together. Some were pure blood lines the rest were "Domestic Short Haired Waggers" that just appeared from who knows where. They were all welcome and cared for. |

Little fellow certainly does look like he could use a shower and a shave. |
He's just being shy because, with all of that hair, he can't see his savior! |
Oh, well, the important thing is that he is in good hands now. Love the picture. I'm sure we won't recognize him after he's all cleaned up! I'm sure he'll feel like a new man too! |
And they call nurses "Angels of Mercy". Can't beat this. |
His name is Truman and he is now on the website. I am sure Jodi will post about him later. He is on the Adoptable Pups page on Yorkie Haven Rescue |
I love his name :D |
