Oh Jodi, I am so sorry. It is so hard to make these decisions but there has been joy and love in the life you gave Truman. He will always be with you and your family but now he is at the Bridge running, playing and waiting for you and your family.

Big Hugs and I know there is peace in the time you had him and that was the big plan. We don't always know why these little ones come into our lives but we have learned so much from them and how much they are willing to love. We are so very lucky to have them in our lives even if it is a short time. Being in rescue is a spiritual journey because you care....remember this as you weep your tears for Truman. He has found peace and we know he found happiness with you and your family.

My older son was home with him when he became sick and was blaming himself for not knowing what to do to help him. We talked about what happened late last night and my son told me how he held him in his arms while he was sick. It touched my heart very deeply to know that even in the end of his short time here with us he was loved by everyone. I am so glad that not only was I able to hold him for his last breath but my husband and son were there loving him as all dogs should be loved. I also that I have 3 great men in my life that have compassion and love for all God's creatures. To see the look in a grown man's eyes for this little lost soul has touched me very deeply. I know now that I have raised a good man in my oldest son.

I thought I had cried myself out when I read Linda's email about Truman passing, but your beautiful words have me sobbing again. I never met Truman, but he was such a special, special little man to touch so many hearts the way he did. I know he held a chunk of my heart from the moment I first saw his picture. I have a picture of him that YHR sent to me and it's hanging on my fridge where I look at it often. Truman, you will be missed. RIP sweet man.

Oh Jodi, I'm soooo sorry for you loss! My heart was heavy when I read about little Truman's passing. You were an incredible mommy to him and you made his last few years on this earth wonderful years. He is free and playing in heaven now! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh my gosh! I read all these posts from finish to end today.... and what an inspiring story... It was really quite cool reading all about all the effort to git him... how he was changing and finaly the sad story about the ending of his life.... I hope this thread never gets deleted... or maybe some one could print it so it can be saved.... such an inspiring story... I had no idea that he had even passed away to the end... GOD BLESS HIM! and EVERYONE THAT ENTERED HIS LIFE THROUGH BEING SAVED!

I am feeling a downhearted remembering Truman in his final Spring. So I thought I would read through his thread, look at all of his pictures and just remember all of the wonderful member of YT who allowed him to touch their hearts too. When it come right down to it these are the stories that should mean something to all of us.

See me is right! I know when Bogey looks into my eyes it's like he looks all the way to my soul. I never really had that with Truman because he was blind. But some day................

Why did I even go back to look and read, now I am in tears. These poor pups mean so much to me. I wish I (we) could stop the hurt and save them all.

It is hard but when Truman passed on he left his footprints on all of our hearts. Which reminds me, the ER vet sent a wonderful card and inside were a set of paw print from Truman. I have it sitting on my dresser and look at it each morning and it makes me smile to remember him and why we do what we do. Thank you Nancy for your kind words.

You have had so many passing through your doors that you were able to save and all the ones that you were not. Thank you for what you do. It is way more than I will ever be able to accomplish in my lifetime.
