Im thinking that she is just tired and wants to be left alone.I want her to be a loving dog. I quess in afraid she is shunning us for some reason!!!! we have had her for a little over 2 weeks now and she is just starting to do this. We have other animals that she loves and children. we are a very loving family and animal lovers. Ive never had a animal shun me this way. Is this a normal yorkie personality? |
Can I inquire as to where you got her from? One thing is that she is probably somewhat stressed. You say she it 2 months and you have had her 2 weeks, that means she was only 6 weeks when you got her, my puppies are not even completely weaned yet at six weeks, and they stay with mom until they are 12 weeks or more. Also, if they are too active it makes their blood level sugar levels fluctuate and they can have hyopoglycemic periods. Little yorkie puppies MUST eat several times a day and have plenty of rest until they are at least 4 months old. Try giving her some nutrical each day with one of her meals,(they will usually just eat a dab off your finger, but I like to mix it in my puppies food with a little bit of water) you can get nutrical at the pet stores. I use it for all my puppies while they are very young. You should not allow her to growl at you, or it will become a problem later on. When she growls, pick her up and tell her sternly NO, and put her into her crate or a penned area, and make sure that she has rest periods several times a day when no one will bother her.
