I am so glad that Missy came throught it all ok, you are such a good mommy for doing what you did for her and getting her the care she needed!! I know Missy is your heart and we were praying for you. Seems, she will be on her way to recovery now ... She is a little trooper!!
Give her a bunch of loves from Gucci and I and some Hugs for you

yipee . . . I knew she would fight her way out of danger . . she's a survivor that little angel of yours . . .I bet she will want to get well fast enough so she can home with you again . .give her a gentle hug from me and my furbabies when you finally take her home :)

oh my goodness I just seen this now, I can't believe she had to have surgery :( I am so glad that it went well and she will be okay, she is in my thoughts in prayers today, poor little thing :( I can't wait for her to be home with you and heal quickly. Thank goodness for your mom too, it's so nice to have someone there to help you at the most difficult and unexpected times.

Wonderful news that Missy did so well through the surgery!!:D What a relief!!:cheer: Mommie can breathe now!!;) Even though I know yr heart aches for her to be back in yr arms. Rest now little Missy! :dogzzz::2hearts2: Hope u will have a speedy recovery little one!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you YT! For being the most incredible Yorkie Mommy support that I could ask for. :) I can't wait to get my little Missy back tomorrow and smother her in kisses. Now for the tricky part, her recovery. The vet said she isn't allowed to run around or play for SIX whole weeks! She must be in her expen or being held. She can walk around a little after 2 weeks, but only when the kids are in bed.

I feel SO relieved!

I'm glad to hear Missy came through her surgery so well. I hope her recovery goes smoothly. Just think, only a few more hours and she'll be home with you! :)

I am so glad that she got through all that! Poor little thing. Sounds like you could use some rest too!! And how about that Mom? Too good to be true.

oh, i was so sad to read that missy needed surgery! poor little baby!(i thought she was ok, because you said the vet just gave some pain killer)
i am glad that the surgery went well though. :)

For both you and Missy, I am so glad to hear she is OK. I know how stressful it can be...my Maltese had LP surgery a couple of years ago and I was a wreck waiting for it to be over. Hopefully you will take her home soon and then you will both feel better!

I hope noone is annoyed that I'm bumping my thread up again.

Just wanted to let you all know that Missy's surgeon just phoned me. She is doing WONDERFUL and she can come home in 3 hrs time. He said the staff there told him to tell me that she didn't make it, because they all want to take her home with them :)

I can't wait to go and get her!!!

That is great news, I would have been so angry if someone had told me that, but at least you are getting your baby back soon.

Yeah, it probably would have ticked me off if he wouldn't have followed that comment with "but I could never tell you something like that". It's a compliment really, they've just fallen for her. :)

I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on what to feed her when she gets home. I imagine she will be a little out of it, and probably would like something special. I was thinking of maybe some boiled chicken and rice? What do you all think?

Boiled chicken and rice should be fine but don't spoil her too much or she may not want to go back to eating her regular food lol

Missy is a FUSSY eater. She is on Nature's Variety raw normally and nibbles on kibble when she feels like it. I'm not sure how I feel about feeding her raw right after surgery though. I wouldn't mind if she wanted to switch to homecooking. As long as she eats, I'm happy :)

I'm glad Missy is coming home today :D I'm sure she misses you alot ! I wouldn't have any idea about what foods to give, but I think a little home cooking for now would be good for her tummy .Especially if she is on medication because she may not want to eat hard kibble.

I think Missy deserves a very special meal tonight! The boiled chicken and rice sound perfect. Does she have a 'favorite' treat? I know I've said this before but she's is the prettiest little thing! Who can blame the staff for falling in love with her? I've never even met her and I've got a soft spot for her. Congratulations on her homecoming!!

Aww thank you so much! What a nice post. I am thawing a chicken breast now, will make some rice and I'm thinking of doing it in chicken broth. I agree, she deserves a nice meal tonight. I'm so excited, 2 more hrs til I see my Missy :)
