NO I would not let a friends 10 year old grab my dog like that heck no. You have ever right to be upset, I would even say something to my friend. And I probably would NOT be leaving my dog there again with a disrespectful child who gets offended for saying please don't grab my dog like that.

I would never and have never picked up my babies by the scruff of their neck. Why would I ever need to when there are other, easier and safer and less hurtful ways to pick them up?

No, not a child doing that I do not think that was ok. Yes, a young puppy is carride by the mother like that, and sometimes a trained professional will do that. Hoever, a child is a different story all together. I'd talk to the parent about it, and let her know that it was not ok for her daughter to handle your puppy in this matter. The thing is the child may have seen an adult do that! Communicate to the parent and you set the rules.
