Senior Yorkie Talker | somethings not right well it started last night Bella and I went to bed and when I woke up in the morning she wasnt in bed. I called her and shedidnt come so i went looking for her and she was on the couch shaking. So i out the heat on and took her out to go potty then i put her in her PJs. I gave her some food she didnt touch it and i had to go to class. She usually always goes to the window to look and didn't this morning.so I had a friend come by and check on her and he said she was still acting weird. She always comes to greet and didn't and she was still shaking. When i got home i noticed she ate her food and she seemed a little happy because she wags her tail every now and then. I tried giving her more food and she hasn't touched it yet. she did have a couple of treats and a cookie tho. I took her for another potty and when we came in i tried playing with her and she wasn't interested, i threw her toy and she didn't bring it back like she usually does. its got me a little upset because shes acting like she doesn't know who i am, i cannot get her to wag her tail even. This is a very weird day i just hope tomorrow is better. she is not herself at all shes so mopie and disconnected. HELP! i hate this! |

| How old is she? Has she ever had a bile acids test? Have you checked her all over for pain?

| If she isn't recognizing you how she normally does, isn't interested in playing and has been shaking all day, I would take her in now. Even if she stops by tomorrow, something is wrong and the problem may just get covered up. Since she did yelp, I would first be concerned about her neck and spine.

| I agree with the other posters. When they start acting very much out of character and refuse food, then generally there is a problem. I am not trying to scare you, but she is at an age where liver shunt commonly shows up. Is your baby girl generally a picky eater? How much does she weigh? Does she act disorientated about 2 hours after eating and does she pace? Please don't forget to give us an update, we worry about our sick YT family members. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | shes picky sometimes but she usually eats good if she likes the food. so i try and change it up for her. she weighs 4.11 and when she was a puppy when i first got her she would act weird pacing and like drunk but hasnt done it in a long time shes usually good about eating. and she did eat what i gave her earlier but just not what i gave her for tonight |

| With pacing or actling drunk, she really needs to be bile acids tested. If there is a problem, you may be able to bring it under control with diet and supplements. It would be much healthier for her to be on a certain protocol if there is a problem. And if there isn't a problem, great.

| I'm so sorry that Bella isn't herself. I really hope that she's just having an off day, but I think that you should have her checked out anyways.

| I wouldn't put off taking her in for a bile acid test. When they are as small as she is, they can go down hill all too quickly. Please, keep us up on her progress.
