This is breaking my heart :( 1 Attachment(s) Since most people in the GF never look in the rescue section I figured I would like to toss this out to see if there is ANYONE willing to help this little girl in MD area. :( We have been calling rescues in this area and nobody is able to take her in. This is what a mill breeder dog looks like and what happens to the luck ones. Dumped at a kill shelter:(:( She has been in my dreams and thought for days. :( I can tell that she is beautiful and with someone's love she is a butterfly waiting to be born. i do look in the rescue section and it kills me.. it really bothers me so much that it ruins my day.. my heart really aches when i see these things. as a matter of fact i went into petfinder yesterday and i cried my eyes out for hours and i coulnt stop thinking of all these poor animals who need to be adopted |

The petfinder link isnt working Here is the info for where she and 3 other yorkies are, they have already been there a week if not picked up soon they will be killed if they havent been already. I would take her in a minute unfortunately I'm in Canada and wouldn't know how to get her here, I sure hope there is someone who will help her soon. I hate those puppy mills and wish that they would put those humans through the same and see how they like it. |
Poor thing :( She would be SO loving and thankful for a good home that will give her the TLC she needs. How I wish I was near there unfortunately I am way too far away :(:( I hope someone takes her in soon. |

Why won't a rescue take her? Are they too full? Do you know her medical condition? Is the place she's in now a kill shelter, it doesn't look like one, and they have other yorkies as well. |

I called the number , but no one was willing to give me any info. They said they reopen tomorrow :( They had a recording and said you can apply but the process takes 10 days or so and it's 130.00 per dog adoption? So I'm not sure which info is correct? |
Hey! We can dig up 130 bucks for someone to go get her! I want a little girl...if I lived there I'd be one her like white on rice! |

Here is a little more informaiton about the adoption process: News The Prince Georges County Animal Management Division is RESCUE-FRIENDLY! We are pleased to work with many rescue organizations. If you are a 501(c)(3) rescue and can help us get our dogs to safety, please call 301-499-8300 and ask to speak to the Rescue Coordinator. Thank you! Adopting an animal We are looking for great families for our wonderful animals! If you are thinking of adopting, now is the time. If you visit us and don't find the right animal for your home, please ask the adoption staff about submitting an open application. It gets you approved to adopt without listing a particular animal. Then, when the right animal is available, the application processing time is greatly reduced, since you already completed it! Not sure were the $120 came from:confused: but here is what is listed on the website: Adoption Fees For dogs $15 For cats $10 License (for PG residents) $25 for unaltered dogs and cats License (for PG residents) $5 for altered dogs and cats Microchip fee $15 for dogs and cats All animals adopted from the Animal Management Facility are spayed and neutered before they leave. Spay/Neuter (alter) fee: $60 for male dogs $70 for female dogs $25 for male cats $40 for female cats |
Toby and I will be travelling from WV to Mississippi next week. I can't pick them up from the shelter, but if someone else can, I might be able to help transport. I'm mapquesting my trip right now! Oh God! did I actually just say this??? |
I don't know how this works or how to arrange it, but I live in MD and I'm willing to help out. I'll try calling tomorrow morning to find out if they are still there and what medical they need. |
