I live in VA... fairly close to PG county. I can't pay for the adoption fees or any medical attention though since my hubby doesn't have a job, but I can offer a house for a couple days and maybe someone can get them from there?

I am also in Maryland. I tried to call earlier to see if they were still available and about their medical conditions , but they were closed .

I couldn't get any additional info from the recording except some other numbers to call.The adoption coordinator is 301-499-8315 and general adoption inquiries are 301-499-8302 .

It said anyone interested would have to fill out an application bring I.D. for address verification ( and a note from a landlord if renting) and be approved , it is up to a 10 day process...So I was taking from that they were a no kill shelter , but I didn't get to speak with anyone directly.I will try again tomorrow.

I live in Maryland and just emailed a rescue to see if they can take her. Unfortunately I am in the middle of tax season working 12 hour days or I would be up there as soon as they open. I told the rescue I will go up there and pay all the fees. They are a wonderful yorkie rescue in the northeast and will take wonderful care of her. I will keep you updated when I hear something. I will call first thing in the morning. I'll never be able to sleep tonight, she is going to haunt me.

i wish that what they do to these poor sweet babys that it could be done to them .i live in canada to far away to help but i would help with a donation if it is needed to help with there vet costs our any thing that they might need .

Ok finally got through to talk to a person. They said a yorkie rescue is arranging with their vet to take her but won't tell me the name of the rescue. She was found as a stray and has various medical issues and has to have her eye removed also. I left my information with them and told them if the rescue falls through for some reason either me personally or another rescue will take her so they are going to call me. Here is what I was told from the rescue I contacted:
"I know how sad that little Yorkie girl looks in her picture. Rescuers' hearts break just looking at little dogs like her and there are so many. Our Dudley is similar. We keep hoping someone will see them for the good dog they are and give them a home just to be in until the end. I don't want to be hard hearted, but this is the dog that the public wants to avoid. They don't want to see her, know about her, ask for her or take her home. Only a rescue person would take this dog and adopt it. And most of us already have at least one dog just like her. Ask Deb - she has crazy Bailey. I have one eyed one tooth Max. Could you take her in?"
I am in tax season, working minimum 12 hours a day which includes weekends. I just have no time and this dog is going to need a lot of attention and love. I will follow through though to see what happens. The fee is $130 but I don't care about that, I just want to see her taken care of. I hardly got any sleep last night, she is just haunting me. I don't understand why they wouldn't tell me the name of the rescue.

I can donate some money as well, someone please adopt these cuties!

I'm sending around the picture to see if there is anything we can do here and if possible is she able to fly to Calgary Canada, which from Maryland would be a 6-7 hr flight. I've also have been heart broken over this. I will try my best to find help for her. Being sending mass emails out to see if there is anyone with a heart to help get her.
